Chevrolet C-10 1965 Description
I purchased this restored panel truck in May 2014 in Charlotte North Carolina and was able to fly in and then drive it home to Oklahoma City OK. The truck was built by a street rod shop in North Carolina with modern dependability and reliability in mind.
The suspension of the truck was updated to 5-bolt hubs disc brakes with power brake booster. The suspension was rebuilt with all new suspension components. The truck is outfitted with custom wide whitewall tires from Coker Tires with Steelies wheels and trim rings.
Drive train upgrades include a 1996 LT-1 265 Hp engine with a 4L60OE automatic overdrive transmission. Power steering was added to make driving this truck a real pleasure. An aluminum radiator with 16" electric fan and fan shroud keep this truck running cool even on hot Oklahoma days.
The exterior of the truck is painted with a 2-stage base/clear yellow with a custom airbrushed beach scene mural painted on the side panels.
The interior of the truck is done in a soft leather-like red vinyl which is a great contrast to the yellow outside color. The rear wood flooring has been re-done with an outstanding dark wood finish. The truck has been equipped withGen IV heat and A/C system from Vintage air.The engine functions are monitored through a set of Auto Meter gauges. For cruisingcomfort an Alpine AM/FMCD radio has been installed. The truck is well insulated and has all new glass weather strips etc. installed.
I have put approximately 4000 miles on this truck. It has been driven to the NSRA Knoxville Nationals and Good-Guys Heartland Nationals in Des Moines IA as well as some local events. I have enjoyed this truck however it is now time to move on to my many other projects.
I prefer to sell the truck however I will entertain any and all trades. Cash offers will be considered as well. I reserve the right to end the auction early as truck is advertised locally. The truck is sold as is with no warranty. Any questions please call Larry 405-613-5580.
