Chevrolet Other 1947 Description

This fine post WWII motor car has many original features. The engine is the original. the transmission is original; the numbers match. The engine has just been rebuilt by a local Chevrolet dealer in the St Louis area. All paperwork will come with the car to the new owner. The body contains no dents. There is no bondo or filler anywhere on this car. The glass is in almost perfect condition. nbsp; including the split windshield. Both front windows and vent windows roll the way they should. The rear windows slide/operate the way they should. Since the motor has been rebuilt the car runs stronger than before due to better compression. The odometer shows 36xxx miles which I believe to be original. There is less than 200 miles on the rebuilt engine. The floor boards are solid-no holes. no rust There is no pitting of the chrome nor is there any rust anywhere on this car. The drivers windshield wiper works. Since I installed the "secret audio" the radio in the car does not work. although it is still in the dash. The mechanical clock still works; it must be wound daily. All the lights work-headlights. taillights. dome light. The car operates on a six volt system powered by a new (in March 2015) battery. The hood and trunk both close and fit snugly as they should. On the front of the car is a metal sunvisor. I'm not sure of the originality of the visor; it was on the car when I took possession five years ago. There are also fender skirts for the rear wheels. I seldom put them on. I personally don't like the look. All five tires. including the spare are 4 inch "gangster" whitewalls with decent tread The four hubcaps are Chevrolet "baby moons" with the Chevrolet name highlighted in red. Included in the package is the original 1947 Chevrolet owners manual and a 1947 shop manual This car has been garaged every day/night since I took ownership. This is an opportunity to own a solid piece of automotive history. This is a fine motorcar to add to a collection or begin a collection. It is a fine looking and running car. If you are the successful bidder/buyer there will be a non-refundable deposit of $500. 00 drawn from a named bank required. Remainder of payment will be in cash when the car is picked up in St Louis. Transport of this car to the home city of the buyer is the responsibility of the purchaser. The car is being advertised locally in St Louis and any local sale takes precedence over all others. There is a clear title to this car and it will be delivered to buyer when all financial responsibilities are met.
