Chevrolet Corvette 1974 Description

I am listing this car at no reserve as its time to let it go. This is a 1974 L48 with a4 speed transmission. I bought this car in 2013 and havent had a chance to do anything with it. I am not a corvette expert but will try to describe the car as the best I can. The car is solid underneath. I had it on a hoist and there is no rot in the frame. The area where the frame kicks up as well as the side rails are solid. The interior appears to be all original. At somepoint in the cars life the front clip was replaced with a '75. I do not know why. Whenever it was it happened a long long time ago as the paint on the front clip is equally as weathered as the rest of the car. The front and rear bumper covers need replaced. There is a crack in the rear quarter panel on the passenger side but overall the fiberglass is in pretty decent shape. All of the glass is nice original glass-no cracks.

The car runs and moves but has no brakes. NO brakes. I have driven this down my long driveway at a very slow speed and it ran ok but it is a project car. The power steering leaks and the ac does not work but it appears that it is all there and hooked up. The clutch appears to work good and did not make any bad sounds but again I only tested it at slow speeds.

The dash lights work but it doesnt look like any of the gauges are working. I dont know if there is a ground problem?

This is a project car that will need to be gone through. I think its a solid project and would keep it if I had time. I do have a clean Michigan title for the car.

Again this is a project car and is being sold as is. I definately am not trying to mislead anyone about it. If you would like specific information please ask and I will do my best to get it for you. It is impossible to list every single thing about the car in this ad and since I have not dug into the car I cannot tell you what you may or may not find once restoration starts.

You can view the car if you are serious about it. Ive had people contact me several times and then never show up. Please dont be that person. You know who you are. Also if you have 0 feedback you must contact me otherwise I will delete your bid. Just drop me a note that says "Hi Im real" or something like that. The car is in storage at my parents house in Beaverton Mi. They would like to see it go too as they have enough cars to store.

On Jun-01-15 at 14:51:44 PDT seller added the following information:

Ive had a few questions regarding the vin. It is 1Z37J4SXXXXX. The number on the front right engine pad does not match the 5 digits on the vin. I took a pic of this and posted it. That number is MJ06800.

Again this a project car that needs totally restored. The interior is original but would need redone to be a show car. This car would be perfect for a rat rod vette or custom. As I mentioned before I dont know why the front end was changed-perhaps it was an older incorrect restoration?

I intend to sell this car to the high bidder and would really really appreciate that you bid on this car only if you are serious about buying it. I do not want to hear about how you didnt mean to bid on it or how your kid played with your phone and bid on it or ask questions afterwards to decide if you really want it.

Finally as mentioned before this is a project car. You cannot drive it home. There are no brakes. As stated above it needs body work and interior work. It will need mechanical work.

Thank you.
