Chevrolet Other 1975 Description
This is a 1975 Cosworth Vega that I bought from a 77 year old man that was the only owner till me. His health got bad and he had bought it new and it was his baby. He had recently put new brakes, lines, tires, and a bunch more on it. I put a battery and belts on it and its been in my shop since. Car is 56,000 and is incredibly clean. Paint has the normal checking but shines great. Interior is perfect and there is a box of O.E. parts he had collected also. I was going to keep it since my dad raced a vega for years in the 80's but its just sitting here. I put the battery in and it started right up. I even have a spare trans for the car that the old timer had and those are worth some money. Im sure I missed something so feel free to ask any questions. On Oct-01-16 at 07:31:21 PDT, seller added the following information:There was the twin with 50k miles on it that ran through Mecum in Illinois last year with same paint checking and it broke $20,000. My house needs a roof, buy yourself one of the most rare cars made where Cosworth who makes Indy car engines combined with GM for a 2 year run in the Vega only. They are numbered cars. Go onto their website cosworthvega dot comto see information on them. Way cool car to store and make big $ on. Its an all aluminum version of Cosworths Indy car motor with dual overhead cams on a 1975.
Ill post more pics on Monday when im back at the shop. Ill put it on the lift and take pics of the undercarriage. In all honesty this might be the cleanest, truest, Cosworth Vega out there. Aside from the paint checking and it actually still looks great and buffed out great. The box of original equipment boxes is everything from gaskets to stripes. The old timer told me he bought any o.e. parts he could find online just because he knew they didn't make them anymore. I could help with delivery (retired father) at a reasonable cost. Thanks and email with any questions and ill be glad to answer or get you any answers. Look up the twin that went to mecum last year closeby.
