Chevrolet Chevelle 1969 Description

There's not a lot of over-hyped prose on this lovely 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu. In fact, t's one of the most honest cars we've seen recently and aside from some flashy wheels, t's almost completely stock. No fake SS upgrades, o big bock swap, nd finished in its original color combination, his is simply a great old Chevy with no stories. There were a lot of colors on the menu in 1969, ith this car wearing a particularly handsome coat of code 40 Butternut Yellow. Bright and clean, t looks fantastic on the A-body sheetmetal and it's this car's original color. Fit and finish are good, o you can see that this car would be a great choice if you like using your collector cars as, ou know, ctual cars. Drive it to work on nice days and look forward to your drive home in the evening, ake it to dinner on Friday night and don't worry about gawkers in the parking lot, hen spend Sunday cleaning it up so you can do it all over again next week. It worked in 1969 and it works even better today. The paint shines up nicely, he gaps are decent all around, nd like I said, here aren't any fake stripes or badges getting in the way of what really is a nice Malibu. A black pinstripe accentuates the Malibu's sleek look and with the lower rocker areas painted gray, t looks trim and lean. The bumpers were bright chrome that looks great and works well with the shiny stainless trim on the rest of the car.Unusual is one way to describe the beautiful Parchment bucket seat interior, nd again that's how it was built when it was new. The seat covers, oor panels, nd black carpets are all recent, nd it all has a bright, lean look that works beautifully with the Butternut Yellow paint. Gauges cover only the basics, ut their bright, lear markings and orange needles make them easy to see from behind the wheel and the usual auxiliary gauges were added under the dash. The factory AM radio is gone, eplaced by a newer AM/FM unit with digital tuning and yes, his is indeed a factory A/C car, eaturing modern components under the hood for reliability. It also includes power steering and brakes, aking it an easy, omfortable cruiser for any driver and one that you don't have to think twice about getting in and hitting the road. The trunk is finished in correct spatter paint and comes with lots of room for luggage on long road trips. The original 307 cubic inch V8 still lives under the hood and it proudly wears the badges to prove it. Recently detailed under the hood, t wears its stock air cleaner assembly and bright Chevy Orange paint on the block, eads, nd tinwork, nd again, t's not trying to be something it's not. No big aftermarket carburetors and it still uses the stock cast iron exhaust manifolds to feed a mellow single exhaust system, t's just a nice-running V8 that gets the job done. A PowerGlide 2-speed automatic transmission and a 10-bolt rear end deliver reliable performance without any fussing and it's quite clean underneath, ndicative of its 79,591 original miles. Brand new 17-inch Torque Thrust wheels have been fitted and wear fresh 225/50/17 radials.Forget high-dollar clones and even higher-dollar big block SS models, ll you really need is an awesome color combination, burbling V8 exhaust note, nd lots of road ahead of you.
