Chevrolet C-10 1970 Description
1970 Chevrolet C10 Pickup. Only second owner. Vehicle now has 97000 miles on it. Purchased in 2005 with 70000 miles from son of original owner who had passed away outside Richmond Virginia. When vehicle was purchased had been in storage for several years. Paint was faded and scratched but had only one rust spot on right front fender. When purchased it included original bill of sale. Build sheet from Chevrolet. Metal plate and much more original paperwork. Very rare radio delete. Never had a radio in it. Vehicleprofessional repainted in 2007. At this time new bumpersgrill and mirrors were added.New tires with period correct wheels installed. A spray on bed liner matching vehicle was done also. Vehicle was originally a 6 cylinder with 3 on the tree. In 2010 purchased a professionally built Chevy 350 starting from a new block from M and M CompetitionEngines. 4 Bolt main. Bored 30 over. Lunati Camshaft. Flat top pistons. Chrome moly rods. Vortec Chevrolet heads. Ports blended with larger springs. GM High performance Intake with Chrome Edelbrock Performer 600 CFM with manual choke. Finished off with Genuine GM Valve covers and Air Cleaner. Have all receipts for motor totaling $3213. Did not install new motor into truck until 2012. Vehicle odometer was 91000 miles at this time. New exhaust with 2 1/2 pipe and turbo mufflers installed when motor installed. Moved 3 on the tree to Hurst Indy Floor shifter but retained 3 speed transmission. Over the years have added new steering wheel gauge lenses seat cover brakes u joints battery and shocks. This truck has not been a weekend car show vehicle. I have drove it every day. I have used it to haul lumber mulch and stone. The bed is a little scratched up. The paint is in excellent condition but there is a couple rock chips here and there. Nothing you would see unless youare less than two feet away. The engine and transmission work flawlessly. No major mechanical issues that I know of. Has been a good vehicle over the years and has many more years left for the next owner.I have always garaged it and did my best to take very good care of it. I have tried to retain the original look of the vehicle without going over board. This truck is a headturner. Unfortunately you cannot go to the store without someone wanting to talk about how nice it is. I have started the bidding well below the appraisal value of the vehicle.
