Chevrolet Impala 1961 Description
ThisImpala Bubble Top was built for speed and incredibleacceleration. First of all it has a great rust free all steel body with beautiful paint. The door jams floors and trunk are clean and rust free. This great body sits on a custom frame that is supported and stiffened. There is a 6 point roll cage that extends into the engine bay. The back seat was removed and mini tubs were installed. The interior retains its original dash board and the original instruments are augmented by theauxiliary Tachometer and support gauges. There is analuminum fuel cell in the trunk and the deck lid has been lightened. The leather racing seats with tall bolsters are in excellent condition and have G-Force pro series belts. The Engine is 468 cubic inches and has Brodix aluminum heads. It has a 10.5:1 compression ratio and runs on pump gas. It is fed by a Holley Dominator 4500 Carburetor and a Brodix Aluminum intakemanifold. The exhaust travels through giant tube headers with removablebypass covers and Flowmaster mufflers with chrome side exit tips. The wheels are Weld with Mickey Thompson tires. There is an electric water pump thatcirculates through a custom aluminum radiator cooled by an electric fan. The engine is set back with custom mounts. The Transmission is a TH400 with a high revving stall converter. There is a 9" rear end with 4.96:1 gears. It uses a ladder bar suspension with adjustable coil over shocks in the rear. The car runs great (I have no idea as to ETs) and sounds fantastic.I am selling this car on behalf of its owner. Please ask any questions you might have prior to bidding and I will do my very best to respond quickly. The car is being sold AS IS WHERE IS and without any warranty.
