Chevrolet El Camino 1969 Description

1969 Base model El Camino. I found the car sitting outside in San Diego. How long it sat out is unknown. There is no motor trans drive shaft glass or interior of any kind. What is in the pictures is all I have (except for a used but inexcellentshape 4 coreradiator rear sway bar & boxed control arms. Forgot to take pictures of them). It was anoriginal307 cu in powerglide car no air drum brakes does have power steering. The front end has an aftermarket sway bar & looks to be in good shape. Rear end is a 10 bolt 15"rallywheels with good rubber all the way around. i went through all the parts & cleaned them best I could & re-boxed them. Car is currently being stored in my garage.Someone started the body work on the car. There is no hood one of the front fenders needs aquarterskin or replacement the other is good. There is some rust on the car the interior pans look great no rust or holes. Some rust behind the rear window & behind the cab. The body is straight somebody took a lot of time to get it that way. The fire wall is also in great shape. This is the perfect car for a complete resto build. Why spend $2.500 + on one then go to all the trouble to strip it down. The work is already done for you. The frame alone is worth 2K. All El Camino frames are boxed from the factory & will fit Chevelle bodies (68-69) not sure about lated models. With minor work to the rear frame behind the wheels. A huge upgrade over the std. Chevelle frame at a huge cost savings.Included with the sale is a 327 cu in "CE" motor. What you get is what is in the pictures. NO heads or top end of any kind. CE motors were crate replacement motors the factory offered under warranty. They came in several different configuration. This motor is a smalljournal steel crank motor out of Vette. I removed the main caps & some of the rod caps the inserts don't show any wear. There is little to no ridge on cyclinder walls. The engine came with high compression forged pistons& steel hi-perf rods. The cam is still in the engine & the lifters show little to no wear either. The person I got theenginefrom said it was running when he pulled it (that's what he told me I have no way to verify his statement). The engine has only beenvisuallyinspected.
