Chevrolet Corvette 1973 Description
Up for consideration is my 1973 Chevy Corvette Stingray. I am the third owner of this car and I purchased it in 1998. The car has been stored most of the time I have owned it. I have been told this is a "Survivor Car." The car is "numbers Matching" and has a 350 and auto trans. I can send pictures of the VIM and stamping on the block. I was told the car was stored for many years prior to my purchase and then had the engine and trans rebuilt. There are less than 12k on both since rebuilt. The car has 45k miles on it. The heater core was also replaced prior to my purchase. I have left everything original with the following exceptions: I replaced the master cylinder about 6 years ago. I replaced the interior left and right pillar post 3 years ago. The front bumper was damaged and a new bumper was painted and placed on the car in August of 2014. While the car was in the shop in August of 2014, t was fully went through. The radiator had a leak and it was sent out and recored. New calipers were also replaced on the car. All fluids were changed and a fuse was placed between the battery and starter. I just purchased new tires the summer of 2015 and they have no more than 50 miles on them. A new Die Hard battery with a 3 year warranty was also purchased the summer of 2015. The car is 42 years old and it does have some dings and minor corrosion on the rear bumpers. There are some scratches in the paint. The paint on the back of the drivers seat is pealing. The bottom of the drivers door is not flush. The clip or rivot came off and I have not attempted to take the door panel off. The door ajar light also comes on when driving. The top of the button in the door jam is damaged so the light comes on at times when the door is closed. I have not replaced that button. After I started the car late summer, here was a smell of gas that seamed to come from the carb when the car was shut off. I am trying to disclose everything on this car. The car is being sold as is and I live in zip code 60423. The AC works and blows cold. I will not arrange any shipping on the vehicle but I am not opposed to you wanting to have the car shipped. I will work with you and your shipping company on any potential arrangements. I drove this car this past summer a few times and I do not have any hesitations taking her out on a trip. The car runs and drives and I always get looks when I am out on the road. Let me know if there are any questions or interest. Thanks!
