Chevrolet Other Pickups 1951 Description

I've wanted one of these 1951 Chevy Pickups for a while and I bought this project this week because of the awesome looking 750 Horse motor. Last week I got a quote to build it from a very highly regarded race shop in Livermore, a, hat is too rich for me, nd so today I'm selling it.

While the truck is available to see in Livermore, t is at a very busy high end race shop, nd we will have to use discretion to see the truck.

Please understand I don't have the truck, or have I spent any real time with it, o, am forced to paste AND MODIFY the entire verbiage from the old eBay listing.

TO ASSIST BUYERS: I will be HIGHLIGHTING ALL KEY AREAS WHICH THE SHOP BROUGHT UP TO ME IN 12 pt CAPITAL LETTERS WITHIN THE TEXT FROM THE OLD LISTING. At the end of the original listing I have added six new notes about what was in the pictures.

Terms: Down payment of 1000 due in 48 hours; Full purchase amount due and pick up/removal of the vehicle required within 72 hours of close of auction. This vehicle is out of the CA DMV system and will come with a bill of sale only. There are no back fees due to register it since it is out.

FLAT BED PICKUP is required.

Here is the original description, gain MODIFIED WITH WHAT I LEARNED IN CAPS.

This is a project that was in mid restoration with all high end parts, was told that the engine alone is worth 10k.

The engine was built and blueprinted by renowned builder and mechanic in the San Francisco Bay Area named Tim Morgan. Tim runs a shop in Walnut Creek CA. called Morgan's Machine and Marine. They have great reviews online and I am sure they could also answer specific questions about the engine.

The body is in good condition and has minimal rust and only a few small dings that are barely noticeable, nd all windows and rubber seals are new. SEEMS ACCURATE

The bed and cab are not bolted to the chassis so that is why they look a little off in the pictures.

THE CHASSIS IS NOT ORIGINAL AND THIS MEANS THE WHEELS INTERFERE WITH FENDERS; BODYWORK AND CHASSIS WILL NEED ADAPTING TO EACH OTHER. THE CHASSIS AND AXLES APPEAR TO BE CLEANED UP & PAINTED. SHOP THOUGHT THE FRAME MIGHT BE FROM A 70'S OR 80'S CHEVY OR GMC HALF TON TRUCK WITH BOTH AXLES UPGRADED (3/4 OR 1-TON, OT EXACTLY SURE) BUT HE DEFINITELY MENTIONED IT HAS A DANA 60. SHOP SAYS CHASSIS IS OF INTEREST TO THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE CROWD.

Grill and front and rear bumpers have been re-chromed. CONDITION OF CHROME SEEMS GOOD

Tilt steering column and custom steering wheel.

Truck has been garaged until just the last few weeks. TRUCK WAS OUT FOR ABOUT A MONTH UNTIL I BOUGHT IT IS GARAGED NOW

The engine has not been fired up since rebuild but it is guaranteed to be race ready by Morgan's shop to produce a reliable 750 HP and has been balanced and blueprinted by Morgan's shop. Engine has Edelbrock heads, edman ceramic coated headers.

1 Demon carbs, ew MSD distributor, CU, iring harness, HERE IS A CRATE FULL OF A WIRING HARNESS IN THE BED OF VEHICLE. SHOP THOUGHT THAT THIS WIRING HARNESS WAS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. IT HAD BEEN INSTALLED IN A VEHICLE BEFORE, nbsp;AND CAREFULLY REMOVED.

new coils, egulator, ll electronics are all new. DELPHI CONTROLLER IN PIC FITS CHEVY

Motor has all new high performance racing parts, istons, ods, luminum heads, ntake manifold, ear drive, alves, oller rockers. Oil passages have been bored out to allow maximum flow, iston skirts have been grooved to allow maximum flex at high RPM.

PICTURE OF EDELBROCK PERFORMER RPM

Rebuilt beefed up turbo 400 automatic transmission. A TRANSMISSION IS BOLTED TO THE ENGINE

Also new high performance stall converter, nbsp;670 blower capacity w pullies for blower, xtra polished blower. Tall aluminum valve covers, xtra large racing oil pan.

NEW OBSERVATIONS FROM THE PICTURES WHICH WERE NOT IN THE ORIGINAL AD

SEE WRITING ON ALUMINUM HEAD SAYS: “EDELBROCK PERFORMER RPM 6089”

PICTURE OF NEW IRON SUPPORTS FOR THE RUNNING BOARD; THERE ARE SIX OF THESE

PICTURE THING NEXT TO STARTER IS A FUEL DOOR. VERY NICE SPRING LOADED GAS DOOR WITH ANOTHER SPRING LOADED FILLER NOZZLE INSIDE I THINK.

Q: I got a question of what the shop thought the motor may need since it has sat a while. A: The shop thought the motor needed to be opened and examined for any rust which might have gone in any open intake valve. Blower rust is surface rust only.
