Chevrolet C-10 1970 Description
Some custom trucks make a statement with excess, ut this 1970 Chevrolet C10 pickup does it with subtlety and elegance. Lowered, tuffed with a great-running 454, nd with a lot of neat details that will get you noticed, t's the kind of tasteful custom that we'd all like to own.Painted basic black, his truck makes a statement. While most of the others are red or bright yellow, his one is quietly confident in its ability to look good without even trying. Of course, he C10's angular look has a lot to do with it, nd having a stepside bed and regular cab gives it ideal proportions, ore like a muscle car than a pickup truck. Then there's the straight sheetmetal underneath, ltra-tight gaps, nd an overall look that seems to suggest someone worked overtime to get the little stuff right. It's pretty stock-looking at a glance, nd heck, hey even kept the stock grille in place instead of stuffing a generic billet piece in the slot! On the other hand, othing coming out of a GM plant in 1970 looked this good. Chrome bumpers look fantastic, he chrome CHEVROLET letters on the tailgate proudly stand out, nd the overall impression is that someone was willing to spend a lot of money to build one of the nicest C10s anywhere. Just check out that beautiful bed if you want a good example of how nice this truck really is!The interior continues the exterior color scheme, ith black cloth upholstery on the original bench seat. Workmanship is impressive and the seat cover looks virtually new, ith no creases or discoloration on the seating surfaces. The blend of original and custom is expertly done, ost notably on the instrument panel, hich is a custom aluminum insert that frames the original gauges and adds a set of aftermarket dials down low. Other noteworthy details include under-dash A/C that almost looks OEM, Grant steering wheel on a tilt steering column, nd a digital AM/FM stereo head unit in the original slot. The carpets are in great shape too, howing off a correct texture that helps with the OEM look and feel. You also get a sliding rear window, ne of the very best features in any pickup, nd once you've used it, ou'll wonder how you got by without it.Pop the hood and, ust as the fender badges promised, ou'll discover a very neatly detailed 454 cubic inch big block V8 that has been dressed to impress. There's Chevy Orange on the block, set of polished valve covers, nd a chrome air cleaner atop a brand new Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor. It's worth noting that there's zero rust on the inner fenders or firewall, nd the level of detailing suggests that this truck has not been driven much since it was completed. There's also a new radiator up front, chrome alternator, nd a bunch of new service items to ensure it's ready to rock. It starts easily and sounds awesome with long-tube headers and a custom Flowmaster dual exhaust system. The TH400 3-speed automatic shifts crisply and drives a 12-bolt rear that stands out, anging on a lowered suspension that still uses coil springs. The suspension has been lowered all around, o it has a ground-hugging stance, nd with 15-inch Torque Thrust wheels and staggered 245/60/15 front and 295/50/15 rear blackwall radials, t definitely looks the part of a full custom.Fully sorted and without the usual asterisks that accompany many builds, his C10 is ready to go. We can guarantee that it'll cause a stir without getting too loud about it. Call today!
