Chevrolet Other Pickups 1952 Description
1952 Chevy Three Window Fuel Injected Hot Rod. 1989 Z-28 350 TPI (aprox. 300HP) with a 700 R4 transmission. Power tilt steering, ower front disk brakes, ruise control, ir conditioned and heat (works) Completely Frame off restored.Started it’s life as a 1952 Chevrolet 3100. cab & bed were removed & completely disassembled. The sub frame & rear axle from a 1978 Z-28 Camaro was installed. The ’52 frame was cut to match the sub frame & then was centered, he two frames were welded together. New coil springs & shocks were installed, ew rebuilt calipers with new pads & repacked wheel bearings. All stock rear axle mounts were then removed & replaced with ones from a kit. New springs, hocks, amp; mounting brackets. New bearings, eals, rake shoes, pring kits & shocks were installed. The frame was cleaned & painted. Stock ’55 Chevy fuel tank, lectric fuel pump for fuel injection was installed behind the rear axle. All new fuel lines, rake lines & hoses were used. The ’52 cab was replaced with a ’54. Front fenders & radiator support were installed. Front cross member was installed to support the front radiator support & front bumper brackets. A Reese hitch & bumper were installed on the back (Comes with truck but has been removed). The engine had new bearings, askets, eals, iming gear & chain etc. Transmission had been rebuilt before we purchased it. A used drive-shaft with new U-joints was installed. New aluminum radiator & electric fan Steering column & brake pedals were from the ’78 Z-28. The truck was completed with new wiring, auges and lights. About 200 miles were put on the truck test fitting everything before it was painted. It was then completely disassembled & painted “Milkshake” and Real Red.The truck was reassembled with all new hardware, ll new glass, ll new rubber seals, ew seat cover, eadliner, arpet, oor panels (most from LMC. New vintage air & heat with rebuilt compressor were installed. A new 21-circuit wiring harness and a new stand-alone harness for the 350 TPI were both installed. The 350 is a mass air flow system. Has a new set of headers & complete exhaust system with mufflers. New electric wipers, omplete new set of gauges were installed. A new master cylinder with brake booster also used. The steering column was from the ’78 Z-28. Tires & wheels from a Corvette, ” front & 8” rear. A new grill, eadlight rings, ew tail lights and chrome mounting hardware, arking lights, ood molding, ide window molding, amp; front & rear bumpers were installed from LMC with new splash guards (front chrome back painted). The 3rd brake light and the rear view mirror with compass & temperature as well as rear sliding window. The truck drives perfectly and could be driven anywhere. Great sound and lots of power. Included with truck are lots of receipts, wo books of pictures outlining the restoration as well as the hitch.
