Texas Classic Cars Of Dallas is proud to showcase this nice 1967 Chevy Camaro RS/SS Restomod. This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro is one of those cars you could look at for hours and still not see everything that's been tweaked sanded smoothed or refinished. Not quite a resto-mod it retains its original Camaro style, ut polishes it in such a way that this is a lot more than a regular F-body.
The familiar Camaro shape has been completely restored and clearly the work was done on a rotisserie because it's as clean underneath as it is up top. A steel cowl induction hood was installed during the reconstruction of the car and it only emphasizes the ultra-clean lines of the early Camaro. A blacked-out SS grille and RS Headlights smooths the front of the car for a custom look and it works rather well with the Z/28-style chin spoiler. Out back a ducktail spoiler adds traditional Camaro styling and the SS gas cap works well with the rest of the car that has been almost entirely SS badged. Even though this car was a 6 cylinder from the factory, ou would never know it. The build was done very well, nd the transformation is awesome.
The metallic blue paint is a totally awesome Dodge Viper Blue that complements the ultra-smooth look with an unbelievable finish and great looking stripes. Like I said you could spend hours examining this and still be delighted by the tricks you find. That's especially true inside where the custom bucket seat interior successfully blends stock and modified components to create something both tasteful and unique. Original low-back buckets look right at home in the early cockpit and the rear bench has been upholstered with a matching seat cover for a very OEM look.
The dash also gives away the fact that this is a factory look car yet with the upgraded cluster gauges surrounded by a stock wheel with a wood trim that looks and feels great.A complete set of Auto Meter white-faced gauges now live in a custom gauge panel. A custom center console houses the cue ball shifter for the 5-speed manual transmission and for entertainment there's an AM/FM/CD stereo that sounds as good as the interior looks. The trunk is neatly fitted with a custom carpeting and Chevy emblem design that really dresses it up. The engine is a snarky 350 cubic inch small block V8 motor with plenty of upgrades to generate serious horsepower. There's a Edelbrock air gap intake with a performance carb up top and a set of Hedman long-tube headers feeding a new dual exhaust system.
Beautiful Chevy valve covers compliment the chromed air cleaner that blends styles for an all-new look. A lot of extra attention went into making the plumbing and electrical wiring look neat and as a result the engine bay looks quite tidy around the stout V8. A big radiator keeps it cool and just about everything you can see has been freshened so it's ready to roll. Underneath the front suspension upgraded with Hotchkis suspension while out back you'll find a freshly rebuilt rear end which will snap you back in your seat but with that Muncie 5-speed it still loafs along on the highway as well. Those shiny chrome wheels are by far a great upgrade on looks to this Camaro wearing fairly good Yokohama tires.
Camaros like this don't come along every day and it neatly blends a correct factory look with modern tricks that make it a joy to drive. This is the muscle car that refuses to be ignored. Fresh off a restoration the slick show quality bright viper blue paint custom-built small block and wicked exhaust means this 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS is one hot coupe that won't last long in our showroom. Best of all this all-around performer is also set up to be the perfect Saturday night cruiser. It's everything you want but you might want to hurry because this is the Camaro of many other people's dreams also.
