Chevrolet Monte Carlo 1974 Description

Anytime you run across a car like this it comes with a story. This car is no different.
My neighbor Phil bought this car in 1973 from the original owner right here in Peru, ndiana. The original purchaser who was a used car dealer bought it for his son but he had something different in mind so Dale sold it to Phil. Now you don't know Phil like I do so this may not be as funny to you as it is to me. Phil is a bit eccentric but in a good way. He bought the Monte for his wife but she also had a Jeep. Well the way Phil tells the story he told Dixie she had to park the Monte for the winter and drive the Jeep. She loved that Monte and told Phil that by God if she had to park it all winter he could just stick it up his %$#. I guess to Phil that meant park it in the corner of the garage for the next 42 years. That's exactly what he did.
This is still his car I'm just helping him get it sold.
When he bought the car it had about 1000 miles on it and the rest of the miles are from pulling it out every summer and driving it a little to keep things loose and lubricated. This is like a barn find that doesn't need restored.
The only issues with the car are theA/C is not cold. We are including an unopened Dupont 30lb can of R-12 freon still in the box, nbsp;there is a small dent in the front fascia but no paint damage. There is a plastic filler panel that goes between the rear bumper and the car, t is faded and cracked. It could be repaired and repainted.
The car starts, uns, nd drives great. It's as tight as any 19000 mile car should be. The car has never seen snow, here is no rust anywhere on the body. The interior, oor panels, eadliner, arpet, s all perfect. The car came with a AM radio stock, hil put the Delco AM/FM Cassette in plug and play but still has the original AM radio that will go with the car. This car is ready to drive anywhere.
Bid with confidence on this rare find, ou won't be disappointed. If you have any specific questions please feel free to e-mail or call me. Test drives are encouraged.

I had a question from ebay member shinneyhinney asking me if the miles are actual and if the car has been stored inside why is the plastic filler between the rear bumper and the car faded and cracked.
The miles absolutely are actual without question.
It's my understanding that the faded plastic is not uncommon base on the age. My feedback is perfect, nbsp;I have no reason to lie about the condition of the car.
If you're looking for a car with more miles for less money it appears that shinneyhinney has a 1975 available as well.
Thanks, ob
