Chevrolet Monte Carlo 1974 Description

1974 Monte Carlo, amily owned since new. Was Purchased by grandmother Brand new in 1974. Original Mileage of just over 62k miles. She drove it until the early 90's until she could no longer drive. It was then passed down to a daughter and son in law, ho have had it parked since. The car fired right up and was driven around a few city blocks for determination of drivetrain. Engine is very nice running, nd transmission shifts as it should. The brakes were somewhat spongy, ut Master cylinder is full of brake fluid, ndicating to me that air is in system, ue to car sitting for numerous years. the car does stop. Windshield is cracked. The interior is very clean considering its age and original state. there is some stitching that has come apart on seats, did not see any tears, wivel bases turn and adjust as they should, ll trim intact. carpet has some discoloration from sun fading. the fan on heater/AC switch is broke, ut I did hear fan running. The enginehas a 2 barrel carb, ll Air condition lines and components intact, did not try to run AC, ut my guess will likely need acharging of the system.There is some rust holes on the top, here what looks like the tattered top retained moisture and caused this.There is dent on passenger side fender, nd some rust on the driver fender, ehind front wheel where rocker trim is attached. The rest of body is very solid, ncluding the underside, loor pans, runk etc, o the best of my knowledge and inspection. The dash is cracked, ue to the sun also. Every last piece of trim is intact on this vehicle, ndicative of its original surviving state. The car still has its original documentation with it also. The Chevy rally wheels are really nice also. the tires Id suggest you get new ones, ut they do hold air. Overall, his Monte is very nice. Its Surprising to me to even stumble across a machine that is still remarkably Unmolested. The interior Panels, eadliner, eat belts, teering wheel, re in great shape. The Radio still works! Original Jack and spare still intact, runk matting still in place. This is one of the ones that you may never find again. Its only original once, o don't miss out ladies and gents.
