Chevrolet Chevelle 1965 Description

This 1965 Malibu was driven to Michigan from San Diego California 26 years ago, arked in a pole barn and never started or driven since. To the best of my knowledge the drive train, nterior, nd all body panels are original equipment except for the deck lid ?? it has SS badging. It has the 283 V8 2 barrel with a two speed automatic trans. It has new plugs, lug wires, istributor cap, otor, oints, ew fuel pump and a rebuilt carb. It rolls over fine but will not start. It has 80 lbs compression in 2 cylinders 70 lbs in 2 cylinders and 50 lbs compression in the other 4 cylinders.I suspect the rings are set up.This is exactly the way I bought the car including the 26 year old dust and dirt. It needs a good extensive cleaning. It has all of the original chrome trim and emblems. The carpet was removed by the previous owner to expose the floor pans for inspection. The floor pans are in very nice condition front to back, rame is in nice condition. It has a few holes in the trunk pan which could easily be patched or replaced (to be expected on a 50 year old barn find convertible). It has brand new radial tires (0 miles) on factory rims with original hubcaps. It has a manual top that needs replaced. It has two tears in the front bench seat (can be seen in photos) and one torn armrest. Chrome bumpers and trim will clean up nice. I will be taking and posting better, ore detailed photos as soon as I can. The odometer shows 65,000 miles, do not know if this is original mileage. The gas pedal and jack are in the trunk. It's had one repaint I'm guessing at least 30+ years ago. You can see the original red-ish color showing through in several areas. Great low budget project for a body man. Car is for sale locally and available for inspection.
