Chevrolet Biscayne 1958 Description

1958 Chevy Biscayne, door. The car was purchased for the drive train and a few misc parts. In the car now is a low mileage 383 stroker motor attached to a Muncie 4-speed out of a 67 Chevelle SS. The motor has Brownfield aluminum heads and from what I've researched each set of Brownfield heads are built to a specific motor. It has an aluminum intake equipped with a Holley carb with a manual choke. The camshaft is an Isky hydraulic flat tappet cam. HEI distributor. It has a later style rebuilt alternator. Hurst shifter. The car was in pretty good condition when I bought it. The floors needed repair which was done. The trunk has a small hole about 3"x 3" other than that it's pretty good. The drivers quarter had been repaired at one time not a bad hit, aint for the most part is original the rust you see is surface rust and not rusted through, ice patina for a survivor. The rockers are a little soft but repairable. This is a good car either to restore, at rod, treet rod or cruiser you decide. Maybe a good father/son project. The car is in good enough condition sheet metal wise where it could be restored properly, hat again is your decision on what you're looking to do with it. The headliner and visors are there. What the car needs; front windshield, ear bumper, teering column could use work or replace, omplete exhaust system, as Corvette 2-1/2" rams horn manifolds on it now, orward emergency brake cable, peedometer cable, as door. I'm sure there are a few bits and pieces the car needs. Included are 2 ET aluminum wheels matching the rears and one spare (5 total) with new lug nuts and washers. I replaced the master cylinder, rear wheel cylinders and 3 flexible brake hoses. Installed is an NOS ignition switch with the original key, he trunk lock is installed and one of the door locks comes with the car, f I can find the other it goes with the car. The car yard drives, tarts and stops no problem. I also replaced the u-joints and carrier bearing. The drive shaft was shortened to accept the 4 speed may need to be balanced. The rocker panels could use some work but definitely repairable. Front fenders had been repaired at one time and have seen better days. Again depending on what you want to do to the car. Parts are readily available for this car as they built in excess of one million cars for 58. I replaced the heater hoses and noticed the heater control valve dripping so I bypassed the heat, he kit to rebuild it is readily available for about $18 thru one of the 58 Chevy parts suppliers. The car needs some work and for what I hope to get for it someone could be getting a good deal, ven parting it out the car has some money to be made. I have other parts not listed that will be coming with the car. carpets in pretty good shape and a set of interior door panels a little better that what's on the car now. I do have a pretty nice set of front fenders that DO NOT come with the car but could be listed with a buy it now and shipped with the car.Car comes with a Maine registration and bill of sale, aine is a non title state after 15 years.
