1954 chevrolet COE cabover flatbed

Chevrolet Other 1954 Description

1954 Chevrolet 5700 COE or cab over engine. The truck starts and drives ok but it won't stay running. I put on a propane adapter just to be able to move it around the the yard but the propane equipment does not come with the truck. It will come with the original carburetor which has been rebuilt. Also has a new brake master cylinder and brake wheel cylinders but currently has no fluid in the lines so I just move it around the yard using the parking brake at the moment. New bed wood has been put in and it is a tilt bed but I have never tried the pto pump that runs the tilt rams. This truck is very original and unmolested. The story I got is that it was one of three matching rigs from a chicken ranch in central coast california and it made weekly trips to the central valley to the processing plant. Odometer reads 57000 and that might be actual. It was very dirty from sitting but not beat up like a high mileage truck would be. You can still see the grease pencil markings on the firewall from the factory. Great truck, mpossible to find again if I ever wanted to but my situation has changed so I have to let it go.
