Chevrolet Blazer 1974 Description

1974 K5 Blazer- Full and Complete Restoration recently completed* 4x4* Full convertible

black on black* automatic transmission* ps* pb*hard and soft tops

I looked for years for a rust free example of a full convertible K-5 Blazer. I found this one in California where it has lived it's entire life. I am the 3rd owner. The truck was in good shape when I bought itwith the long time, riginal owner restoring the truck while he drove it. I have owned it for about three years. When I got it I couldn't just enjoy it as it did not meet my ridiculously high standards. I have collected cars for 30+ years and am very particular. Thus started a full restoration that took 2 years and many thousands of dollars.

BODY/PAINT: laser straight body with all panels properly aligned- no body filler- no door sags, ailgate and doors close as new- In 2012 the body was primed and painted satin black with a clear coat on top

INTERIOR: all new seat covers, rmrests, love box, nterior door carpeting/panels- in 2013 everything was removed, ent to the upholstery shop for new seat covers and the entire floor and tailgate was stripped and professionally Rhino lined/waterproofed

ELECTRICAL: everything works as new (lights/turn signals/wipers/horn...), ew OEM temperatur, uel, peedometer gauges installed with new lenses

MOTOR: In February of 2015 a new GM 350 was installed with a transferable 36 month/50,000 mile warranty that is honored by any GM dealership- when old motor was pulled the engine compartment was stripped, ower washed, ainted and detailed to include a smoothed fire wall- as long as I was having a new motor put in I went ahead and authorized everything be replaced with brand new parts including: intake manifold, arb., ater pump, uel pump, istributor, adiator, an, an clutch...and of course all new lines/hoses/ belts/filters/plugs/gaskets/seals/wires and a new battery. $6800 later you can now drive this truck cross country without hesitation

TRANSMISSION: while the motor was being installed the TH350transmission was completely re-built including new converter and cooler lines

GLASS: not replaced but no cracks or chips- I removed the back window from the tailgate when the body shop was replacing the rear latches- it made noise and I will never use the hard top. The soft top has a window (their is a power window switch that works in the cab that I tucked away, lass goes with truck)

CHROME: not new but shines up fine, o blemishes or fade

TOPS: I took the hard top off the day I took delivery of the truck and it has not been back on since, op has no cracks or filler that I noticed. In March of last year I bought and installed a brand new "softopper" with tinted windows ($1000) I figured that with all the money I just spent on the mechanicals I might as well make the truck useful year round- I will never use the truck in anything but nice weather but didn't want to get stuck in a thunder storm...

TIRES/WHEELS: less then 4,000 miles on tires, heels never curbed

STEREO: I has a professional installer put in all new equipment including a marine grade, ater resistant system last year. Truck has a Kenwood, luetooth head unit,Bose rear speakers, olk door speakers and Rockford Fosgate amp in center console($1800)

BRAKES: all new in August, 015 including wheel cylinders, hoes, ads and U-Joints

Misc.: heat and air conditioning are not hooked up as I had no intention of using the truck in the winter or without the top down, actory roll bar installed, ll seat belts in place, uge center console, illet grill installed instead of factory one, have to check their may be a small crack in the top of dash

kids' handle bar put small scratch on the side near the gas cap which is the only flaw

Tough, ully restored, un, ool, ard to find truck with everything done

100+ pictures available and receipts totaling over $35,000
