Chevrolet Camaro 1969 Description
. 1969 Camaro Z28, eal X77 Z28! 73k miles on the odo (no clue if accurate). Fathom Green exterior, idnight green interior. 12 Bolt rear end BU coded 3.73. This car has been off the road in storage since 2000. it does NOT HAVE the numbers matching engine or trans. it has a 383 stroker crate engine. I dont know any details on the engine other than its a 383, olley intake and a near new Edelbrock 750cfm carb that i just put on it. when i got the car it had not been run in many years so i drained the fuel, replaced the carb, hanged the oil and replaced the dead points dist with a used ACCEL electronic dist, ew plugs and wires. the car now starts right up and has a healthy lump to it. I have driven it around the block so it can be driven onto a transporter BUT NOT DRIVEN HOME!! It still needs the carb to be tuned and the timing to be set.also the rear rubber brake line started leaking once i got back from that trip around the block so it will need to be replaced as well and brakes bled out. The trans is a Muncie M21 and it has a Hurst shifter. the clutch grabs good but does chatter from sitting, few good clutch drops should bring it back to being smooth again. it has 4 leaf multi leaf rear springs but they are starting to sag. power front disc brakes, ally wheels with like new tires. the interior is nice and is original, ash top pad is curling up near windshield, he headliner has split and needs to be replaced. nice factory console with working console gauges. factory tach doesnt work because i didnt hook it up when i swapped the coil and dist. doors open and close nice and solid but drives door could use a hinge pin it sags slightly. the paint on the car needs to be redone, t was painted at some point and is now peeling is spots and has scratches and minor dings here and there. still looks good from 10ft but def needs to be redone. the best part other than it being a real Z28 is that its NOT RUSTY! it was rust proofed when it was new and thankfully it worked! underside looks new, ust dirty and dusty. pinch welds look good, rame is perfect, rig floors etc. quarters are factory as far as i can tell cant seen any cut lines from inside the trunk. the only thing that really needs to be fixed is where someone backed into the car when it was in storage. it hit the right rear side of the bumper and pushed it into the quarter denting it. im not a body guy by any means but it doesnt look to bad to replace, sp since its not rotted, ust dented in. the trunk pan may have been replaced along the way, m not really 100% sure but would rather mention it than not. if it was done they did a pretty good job. shock towers are perfect and untouched. front grill has some typical cracks, iny spot of rust on drivers rocker about the size of a nail(see pic). I have tried to be as descriptive as possible, ut i cant possibly list every single thing, his is a old car, ut its a real Z28 and will only go up in value. you can turn the key and it starts and can be moved around (except the above mentioned brake line) you could spend 30k fully restoring i, or a couple grand and just drive the wheels off it. its a very nice original car that is not all hacked up or cobbled together. please ask questions! bidders with less that 5 feedback MUST CONTACT ME or the bid will be cancelled. full payment is due within 3 days of auction end by wire transfer, ank check or cash in person.
