Chevrolet C-10 1970 Description

It doesn't take much to transform an ordinary pickup truck into something totally eye-catching and this 1970 Chevrolet C10 does it rather well. With small block power the right stance and a very cool muscle car interior it's a fun hauler that can actually be used as intended.Hugger Orange and white are this truck's original colors so it shouldn't be a surprise that they look awesome on the angular bodywork. Refinished a few years ago it's not show-truck perfect but it does get a lot of attention out on the road and the builder deserves some kudos for leaving it pretty much the way the factory made it. Panel fit is about what you got when it was new and even with a few signs of use it's the kind of truck that most guys would love to have in their garage. The original stainless trim was retained including the cool woodgrained stuff on the lower edges of the body and the tailgate a cool remnant of the funky 1970s. It shines up well and gives the truck a lot of details that catch the eye without looking like it's trying too hard. The bed was finished with a spray-in bedliner so it doesn't mind putting in a hard day's work now and then and we guarantee that the guys at Home Depot will have some major truck envy every time you show up.You'll recognize the bucket seats and their orange and black houndstooth upholstery from the 1969 Camaro pace cars and it works especially well in this cool pickup truck. With a center console between them the buckets look like they were put there by the factory and the painted dashboard brings it all together quite nicely. Black floor coverings and a matching dash pad ensure that it isn't orange overload inside and check out those cool door panels that have a hand-tooled look that was surely part of the truck's macho appeal. This truck also includes features like a factory tach tilt steering column and an AM/FM/cassette stereo that should probably be replaced with something a little more up-to-date for cruising. A sliding rear window is a great idea on any pickup allowing draft-free ventilation that keeps things cool inside without blasting you with air. You'll get strong performance from the 350 cubic inch V8 under the hood which runs quite well and provides entertaining acceleration around town. The stout small block is fortified with an Edelbrock aluminum intake and Holley 4-barrel carburetor so there's horsepower you can feel and the finned valve covers give it a somewhat racy look. It's not show-quality but for driving it's hard to beat this proven combination. There's also power brakes and power steering as well as a rugged TH400 3-speed automatic transmission so just about anyone can jump into this truck and hit the road without lessons or practice. Dual exhaust with a throaty pair of mufflers gives it the right sound and the chassis is bathed in black undercoating that helps control noise and heat. A slightly lowered stance evens out the profile and it sits on 20-inch Budnik aluminum wheels and 255/35/20 front and 285/40/20 rear performance radials.A neat truck that looks great going down the road and runs superbly all wrapped in muscle car attitude.
