Chevrolet Camaro 1968 Description

NICE BARN FIND PROJECT Z28 WITH NON MATCHING 302 ENGINE. IT IS A 68'MO CODE. FRESH REBUILT BY WATERFIELDS MACHINE SHOP WITH JUST9 MILES. CALL ME FOR ENGINE DETAILS OR ANY OTHER INFO. IT DOES HAVE MATCHING 4 SPEED MUNCI. ALSO, AS POWER DISC 4 PISTON BRAKES, OWER STEERING AND CORRECT 12 BOLT REAEND WITH 373 GEAR, HE AVERAGE Z28 GEAR. EVERYTHING WORKS TO BE STREET LEGAL TO DRIVE NOW EXCEPT HORN. 15" TIRES ARE 85%+.SHE DRIVES GREAT.ONLY RUST TO REPAIR IS 2 TO 3" HOLE IN LEFT FENDE, /2" BY 7" BEHIND LEFT QUARTER AND A FEW PIN HOLES IN BOTTOM OF TRUNK. A TREE HAD FELL ON THE TOP AND QUARTER. TOP STILL NEEDS PULLED UP AND A NEW FULL RIGHT QUARTER HAS BEEN INSTALLED. ALSO HAS NEW REAR GLASS. SPOLIER GOTDAMAGED TOO. NOTHING IS BONDOED UP ON THE CAR. I THINK THE FRONT FENDERS AND DOORS ARE ORIGINAL BECAUSE OF DATE STAMPINGS THAT GO BY THE WEEK. I HAVE FEW MORE PHOTOS OF THEM THAT I COULDNT POST SINCE I AM AT MY 100 PHOTO LIMIT. THE FLOORS ARE ORGINAL AND IN NICE SHAPE, OO.

THE TRUTH ABOUT THE CAR IS THAT IN 68 THEY DIDNT MAKE IT EASY TO IDENTIFY A Z28 FROM A PLAIN CAMARO BY VIN OR COWL TAG AND I HAVE NO PAPER WORK EXCEPT TITLE. SINCE THIS ONE DOESNT HAVE THE MATCHING ENGINE THERE ARE POINTERS TO SAY IT WAS BORN A Z28 AND THE BIG THING THAT YOU CAN SIMPLY LOOK UP IS THE TIRE DECAL ON GLOVE BOX DOOR. THE Z28 WAS THE ONLY CAMARO IN 68 TO HAVE E70-15 TIRES AND THAT IS STATED ON THIS DECAL AND THE CORRECT PART #3934882 IS ON THE BOTTOM OF DECAL. YOU CAN BUY A NEW CORRECT DECAL WITH THAT PART # ON EBAY. I KNOW THIS ONE HASNT BEEN REPLACED. WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE DASH PAINT YOU CAN TELL THAT IT AND THE GLOVE BOX HASNT BEEN REPAINTED. THE DECAL ALSO HAS A SCRATCH THRU IT TO THE PAINT AND NO LAYERS ARE THERE. PLUS THE DECAL SHOWS FADE FOR AGE WHICH I BELIEVE ORIGINAL AND THIS MAKES IT THE TELL FOR A Z28 OUT OF ANY THING ELSE ON CAR. THIS MAY NOT BE PROOF ENOUGH FOR SOME OF YOU BUT ITS STILL PRICED FAIRLY AS A 4 SP CAMARO WITH Z28 ENGINE. I WILL BE HAPPY TO TAKE CALLS AND ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS.

THE LAST OWNER WAS A DOCTOR THAT HAD IT SINCE 1994. I BOUGHT IT FROM HIS MECHANIC THAT SOLD IT FOR HIM. HE HAD KNOWOF THECAR SINCE NEW AND SAID ANOTHER GUY BROKE THE ORIGINAL MOTOR IN THE 80's. IT WAS RESTORED IN THE MID 80's. FROM THERE IT WAS DROVE UNTIL THE TREE FELL ON IT. THE DOC THOUGHT HE HAD A GOOD GUY TO RESOTRE IT BUT THE GUY TOOK IT APART AND QUIT FALLING ON HARD TIMES. WE ASSEMBLED WHAT WAS APART AD REBUILT ENGINE SINCE IT WAS TORN DOWN. BRAKES ARE ALL FIXED AND ALL LIGHTS WORK. JUST THE POWER STEERING NEEDS A PULLEY TO WORK. ALSO THE FRONT STABELIZER IS IN THE TRUNK. I EVEN HAD THE FRONTEND ALIGNED.

THERE ARE RECIEPTS FOR ENGINE WORK, OME PARTS BOUGHT AND ALIGNMENT.

SORRY SO LONG BUT ALOT NEEDS TO BE SAID ABOUT A CAR LIKE THIS. I HAVE PHOTOS AT THE END OF SOME PART #S. SOME OF THE OTHER THINGS GUYS MAY WANT TO KNOW IS:

THE CONSOLE WITH GAUGES WOULD BE CORRECT BUT THE HARNESS IS THE MORE MEAINGFUL PART. IT IS Z28 CORRECT.

THE TIC TOC TAC ISNT WORKING BUT HAS CORRECT WIRING BUT NOT Z28 ONLY.

THERE IS A PHOTO OF CORRECT# ON BELL HOUSING FOR Z28.

68 Z28 HAD FLAT HOOD.

THE Z28 EMBLEMS ON THE FRONT OF FENDER HAVE HOLES THAT WERE STAMPED NOT DRILLED. REPOS YOU DRILL YOURSELF.

IF ANYONE KNOWS WHERE I CAN LOOK FOR MORE INFO LET ME KNOW.

WE CAN DELIVER ALL OVER. I NEED YOUR CITY AND ZIP CODE TO PRICE OR PORT.FINANCE THIS CAR AS LOW AS 2% RATE. CALL FOR MORE INFO.
