Selling my 1979 Chevy Silverado Short Bed - Big 10 aka.Heavy 1/2 model(code 44),this truck was made at the Fremont Assembly plant in California and has lived its life in southern Cali, o more then 30 miles from where it was purchased in La Merada, , riginal plates, ll original paint, interior, 50 motor, 400 trans, 2 bolt posi, he motor and trans were rebuilt 2 years ag, his is a AC truck have the pump and is out of the truc, as tilt wheel, as cruse control but not working, ew starter, ew exhaust with Xpipe and Flowmaster, SD wires and module, Has the big disc brakes, two gas tanks that both work, i just had it lowered 4" in back with a shackle kit and 2 1/2" up fron, ll new lowering shocks, ew truck rally's, ew center caps, ew tires, he paint is not perfect by any means but original so you know what your getting, as one small rust spot about the size of a quarter on the bottom left rear panel and and a few small spots by the windshield wipers that i have treate, bought this truck from the 2nd owner a few months ago to fix up while driving it and is currently my daily driver, ut now i need a economy truck for work, ruck runs strong, ven still has the original Audiovox am/fm radio that came in the truck and yes it still works.
Things that need fixing: (nothing major)
*speedo- tested the cable and its fine but needs the gear replaced on the side of the trans, ave the replacement gear but no time to do it myself.
*oil gauge works but needs a new sending unit, nce again have the new sending unit but no time to replace it.
*Fuel gauge kinda works - when full it only reads just past 1/4 tank but moves down to empty so you know when your full and empty, hese are the blue line gauges and they replacements that are now sold don't match so been looking for one online.
* Cruse control is all hooked up but don't know why its not working haven't looked into it yet.
