Chevrolet Corvette 1956 Description

Gorgeous example of the timeless 56 Corvette. Car just finished having a complete body off restoration that took almost two years. Has the correct GR code, riginal 265 cubic inch engine with two 4 bbl carbs for 225 hp. Also has factory 3 speed manual gearbox and wonderfully done in Onyx Black with Silver cove and Red interior for striking look. Has both tops with hardtop completely redone as well. Only 3467 of these cars were made in 56 so quite rare for Chevrolet at that time. Car has all receipts for restoration work along with plenty of parts that were replaced new but we kept all the original pieces to be saved for next owner. We do have the small front bumpers for center of the grill and they are fresh and can be installed but we liked the look with out them. Body and paint are done to very high quality and all chrome and trim are new. Interior is also show quality with everything correct and working. Soft top is black and brand new and fits as it should. Underneath the car is also show quality with pictures available upon request. Brand new correct period Coker tires are on the factory rims with excellent hub caps. Also has restored spare with new tire. Car starts right up and we have running extremely well with both carbs working in sync as they should with lots of power. Engine is still in break in phase with less the 50 miles since complete rebuild. Gearbox shifts smoothly and car is a real pleasure to drive. Overall a painstakingly restored car that is ready for any show or will be proud addition to any collection.
