“NO RESERVE, NO RESERVE, NO RESERVE, NO RESERVE, NO RESERVE, NO RESERVE”

After 20 years of collecting cars, I have decided to sell/downsize some of my unique, rare, low mileage, rust free muscle cars. Up for grabs is my 81 Camaro Z/28, never driven in the winter and is completely rust free with the exception of the inside trunk lip with has some scale from the rear spoiler bolt holes leaking water over the years (see photo bucket pictures). I have the original build sheet which I found under the driver’s seat last summer, yes it appears that it has every factory option on the car that you could order back in 1980. All as I can say, you have to see this car to believe just how clean, original, unmolested true survivor condition that it is in for being 34 years old with only one re-paint about 15 years base coat/clear coat. On a scale from 1 to 10 with 10 being the best, I would rate the complete paint/body of this car a very rock solid 9 with the only flaws would be some dirt in the hood, roof, trunk that can and will wet sand/buff out in a few short hours, all of the body lines look factory, neat, and clean, it has some very minor rock chips across the very bottom of the car with only one very small door ding in the driver’s side rear fender. The engine runs smooth as silk with NO knocks, lifter/rod ticking, exhaust leaks or any problems at all, as a matter of fact you could get into the car and drive it coast to coast with no worries/problems. When driving at highway speeds (70 mph) or city driving, you will find that this car handles just like new, does not pull to either side of the road when letting go of the steering wheel at any speed or braking.

Underneath the car you will see it is just as clean as the outside, NO scale on the floorboards, frame or rust repair of any kind, just the original factory under coating just as it left the assembly line back in 1981. The guy I bought this car from (a very close friend of mine) is an engine builder and he bored & stroked a stock 1973 350 four bolt main block making it a 383 stroker using all of the best parts made including; ARP bolts, Keith Black pistons, Edelebrock high lift cam, 650 CFM Edelebrock Carb, Victor JR Air gap high rise intake, Roller Rockers, ACCEL HEI Super Coil, Headman Headers. This engine was built about 7 years ago with only a estimated 800 miles of street time that will run on HI-test pump gas, this car has a lot of serious horsepower……more than I need!!! Transmission was re-built at the same time the motor and is a turbo 350 with a shift kit/2500 stall converter which is mated to the factory original 10 bolt 3.42 Posi rear axle F41 suspension as stated on the build sheet. As you look at the bottom of the car you will see NO oil, grease residue/buildup. Looking at the interior you find it was a non-smoked in clean (all of the ash trays are new never used) very, very presentable showing its original seat covers with very minimal wear, what is truly amazing is the original Grey dash pad with no cracks or fading, the carpeting is original and in outstanding condition, even the factory GM floor mats show little to no wear at all. The headliner is in fair condition with no rip, tears, or cuts of any kind, however the glue is just starting to come lose from the foam backing which is typical of all GM 80’s cars. The tires on the car are about 50, however weather-checked as they are the old style BFG’S from about 15 years ago and are unsafe for the road! I replaced the right rear wheel wheel cyclinder last summer along with a new complete Z/28 factory stripe kit. The AC was removed from the car before I bought, all of the gauges work fine, including the tachometer and the odometer reads 111,000 miles, all of the electric windows/locks, radio, rear de-fogger work just fine. For some reason the headlights work on high beam only, otherwise all of the tail, marker, running, dash and dome lights work great.

To sum it all up: this is a very nice running, clean, rust free 81 Camaro Z/28 that will always go up in value day after day. I am sure I forgot something to tell you about the car, however if you would like more or any specific pictures, please ask. I can also send you my phone number and you can view/test drive this car in person by appointment only.

This very same car is for sale locally, so I may end the auction at any given time without notice!

I am open for cash offers, Hagerty muscle car values has an estimate of $17,800 however it does not take in consideration of the condition of body on the car so no need for low ball offers as I have it priced to sell far less than what the market is telling that it is worth. Let’s be fair with the offers and offer what you can afford, not what you think you can afford, make sure to ask your wife/husband or significant other before buying the car to save us all the hassle of not going thru with the deal!!!!!!!!

Terms and conditions of sale:

If you do not have the money, please do not bid, NO DAY DREAMERS, TIRE KICKERS, I OWE YOU’S OR WOODEN NICKLES, CASH IS ALWAYS KING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I expect the balance to be paid in full within 10 days after the auction ends via cash, or Bank wire transfer (No Pay Pal UNLESS YOU PAY ME THE 3.5% THEY CHARGE ME). The car must be picked up in 15 days unless other arrangements have been made. The car does NOT leave the yard until it is paid for in full. I can help you find a very good, reasonable and reliable carrier at your expense.
