Chevrolet Cheyenne 1976 Description
One to many projects,so I'm letting this 1 go. Up for auction is a 1976 Chevrolet Cheyenne super 454 numbers matching Big Block truck. It is a short bed stepside 2 wheel drive with factory 3/4 ton suspension. I have heard of them before, but never seen one till I got this truck. It has been sitting in the desert for a number of years, so it does not run. The person I bought it from told me the carb was needing to be rebuilt, and never got around to it, so there it sat. The trucks overall mechanical condition is unknown, but I did verify the stamping on the block with VIN and title, and they all match. It has the turbo 400 it origanlly came with, and a few other creature comforts, such as A/C and tilt wheel. All the A/C components are there, but the condition of that is of course unknown. Somewhere down the line in the life of this truck, a few modifications were made to it. The gas fuel necks were shaved from the bedsides, and move to the inside of the bed. The tail lights were also modified and installed in the rear of the bedsides. An after market grille was put in and a god awful paint job was done to it that is cracking and pealing everywhere. However, there is absolutely no rust on this truck anywhere. The cab corners, rocker panels, and flooring is perfect. The only rust visible is the surface rust where the paint has pealed on the doors and a couple of the other small spots. The person I bought it from, put on the steel cowl hood. The interior isnot to bad of shape. The carpet is nice and the door panels are in good shape. The dash pad has 1 crack in it.This is definately a restoration project, but is well worth the money and time to do it. Please ask any questions you can think of, and I will try to answer them as best I can (except for what my reserve is) if you would like to make an offer I will consider it. Otherwise this is an auction. If you have less than 10 dealings with ebay, please contact me first before bidding, or I will cancel your bid.Thank you for looking. P. S. It is originally a California truck, and still has the air pump and air injection rails all hooked up. (In case you live in California)
