Chevrolet Chevelle 1969 Description

If you’ve ever wanted a Chevelle this is the last car you will ever have to buy! This car is better than new.

It has just won “Best Street Muscle Car” at Frank Maratta’s Auto Show at it’s first debut in February 2015

It currently has 7/10 miles from 100% total restoration.

Converted to a SS 502 car for better performance and handling.

This car has all the updated goodness but still retains that 1969 look.

The engine is a new 502 V8 4 bolt mains 4.47” bores and the stroke is 4.00”

with hydraulic roller camshaft; camshaft lift 5.27 intake/.544 exhaust

Compression 9.6 to 1 cylinder heads are Pro Comp Aluminum Squareport for more performance than the stock GM heads also a Pro Comp aluminum intake manifold provides more performance.

The oiling system has a high volume pump and larger capacity oil pan. The ignition is an HEI TSP 65000 volt heavy duty. Spark plug wires are Accel Pro 25 race wires.

Valve covers are chrome high height for rocker arm clearance. Carburetion is 750 CFM duel feed Summit Racing with briaded fuel line. The air intake to carb is a period correct aftermarket duel snorkel air cleaner with chrome top that boasts the 502 with flags decal.

Chrome parts are all over the motor from the carb to the water pump oil pan and alternator.

The transmission is GM turbo 400 with a heavy duty converter was built by Best Transmission in Springfield MA. The chrome shifter is stock GM 1969.

The drive shaft is a custom built aluminum shaft with heavy duty yoke on the rear and the transmission built by The Driveshaft Shop. The drive shaft hanger is by Jegster Inc. to support and prevent drive shaft mishaps.

The rear end is a 12 bolt GM Posi 331 gear ratio with high performance hardened axels. It also has an upgraded quick change aluminum cover for better cooling with new drum brakes on the rear.

The frame is stock GM. It was on a rotisserie to weld in plates and gussets to give strength to the rear of the frame and to prevent control arms from tearing out and to beef up the frame. The frame was sand blasted primed and painted with commercial strength high gloss paint for easy cleaning .

The front suspension is all new stock A frames upper and lower new spindles drilled discs for cooling new calipers heavy duty front springs adjustable shocks to race or drive. It has a power steering box which is 2.5 for super fast turning and a large sway bar keeps the car on the road!

The rear suspension has all link bars with joint ends upper and lower and adjustment control bars all from UMI Performance Race Proven Suspension Systems made us USA.

It has Air Lift 1000 airbags in the rear springs. They are filled from the rear frame bar. The shocks are adjustable. The rear springs are heavy duty not stock. The car has Lakewood traction bars with adjustable links and a sway bar to hold the car on the road.

The gas tank and straps are all stainless steel a 3/8” fuel line goes to the front of the car. An electric fuel pump is in the stainless steel gas tank for fuel to the carburetor

The exhaust is Dougs Thoroughly Tuned Headers with collectors and stock duel exhaust with stock chrome tips.

The body was done on a rotisserie with new floors trunk and rear GM quarters all sealed then had painted floors trunk and all inside of the car before the interior was put in.

All glass in new tinted stock GM soft ray and GM codes Astro Ventilation on both the drivers and passenger side as it was in 1969.

All the chrome drip edge windshield and rear window are factory 1969. chrome bumpers front and rear grill are after market. It has new tail lights and front headlight housings.

All bulbs in the car are new. Front headlights are Hydro Blue Lenses for brighter lights. The trunk and engine compartment have inside lights. There are courtesy lights on the front floors in the interior.

The car has a large aluminum radiator (racing type) with duel cooling fans. It has new Vintage Air heating and cooling.

It has power brakes cad. Power booster upgrade brake system new wipers and wiper motor.

The car has duel mirrors rally wheels with center caps and trim rings all new with F-70-15 Mickey Thompson Indy tires on the front and L-60-15 Mickey Thompson Indy on the rear.

The interior is as stock 1969 SS Chevelle. It has bucket seats and console 502 emblems on door panels and dash bezel . All gages are new and as stock 1969 SS. Tach oil temp and amps are all 1969. Seat belts are all new from stock. The steering wheel in Rose wood and is a tilt column. There is sound deadening under the carpets.

The radio is Retro Sound AM/FM with I pod I phone USB MP3/WMA playback/Bluetooth with amplified antenna hidden {in the glove box}.

There is 1front 6X9 under dash full range speaker with 200 watts 1.77 mounting depth with duel speakers in each speaker frame. 2 rear 6x9 Low profile Mylar Tweater and midrange assembly 200 watts max power duel speakers in each speaker frame.

The paint is 2 stage by Bodyworks Unlimited Inc. The color is a 1969 Chevelle Butternut Yellow stock GM color. The engine compartment is 2 stage tuxedo black gloss for easy cleaning .

This 1969 Chevelle is the car to be proud of. You can drive this car from coast to coast with it’s 9.1 compression pump gas motor.

The rear is stock 331 GM gear ratio that GM put in high HP cars.

This car is also a very nice cruiser with vintage air and tunes from that retro sound radio.
