This car has had a frame-on restoration. using parts to make it as close to a 138 car as it could be; I spared no expense in getting the car into the condition that you see it in now. Again. this is NOT a 138 car. it is in fact a 136 car. Originally a Texas car. the body is laser straight now. with a beautiful interior and a drivetrain that will never fail to put a smile on your face! The floor pans were professionally patched when the bodywork was being done. everything under the car now is solid as a rock. For power. there is a freshly built 327/350HP small block. backed up by a fresh Muncie wide ratio 4-speed and a 10 bolt rear differential with 3:73 gears in an open carrier. I had the car professionally tuned to really get the most out of the fresh Holley Carb. and he has the carb and timing REALLY dialed in! The small block V8 sounds great breathing through true dual exhaust with turbo-style mufflers. Disc brakes up front. with a totally rebuilt front suspension. as well as all new shocks and new rear springs make the car really drive. ride. AND stop nice. I chose classic Crager SS wheels for the car. then wrapped them in Michelin rubber to maximize ride quality and reliability. Super clean inside. with new factory style seat covers. AM/FM radio. a factory in-dash Tachometer and generally nicely appointed interior. It is really easy to sit in this cockpit and watch the miles tick by. listening to the rumble of the exhaust and rolling down the road. This is a classic that you will be proud to own and love to drive. I am reluctantly selling the Chevelle to fund a 1963 Corvette project that is in need of a cash infusion-like these projects always do! I have the Chevelle at my home in West Des Moines. IA. where I am also offering it for sale locally. CALL OR TEXT GARY AT 515-249-0178How To Win This Auction - Don't Be Disappointed or Caught Off-Guard:As many EBAY buyers are new to buying online. Bidding against the next bid amount or "chase" the high-bidder and get caught off-guard -- This is the most common losing strategy. You don't have to bid early. just be sure to bid most you're willing to spend for this item when you do -- This is the most common winning strategy. Those who wait until the last few minutes or seconds to bid. risk losing the auction to bidders with faster connections or automated bidding software. Remember that it is not the last bid that wins but the highest bid. Some bidders have complained about being outbid near the end of the auction. This is called "sniping. " Bidding the highest price that you would be willing to pay for an item doesn't mean you automatically have to pay that price. Relax; knowing your bid will only be raised up to your max bid if that's what's needed to win. Bidding your maximum amount is the best way to fight sniping and last-minute bidding that sometimes happens during the last few minutes or seconds of an auction.
