Chevrolet Other Pickups 1950 Description
1950 Chevrolet 3100 1/2 Ton pickup project for saleThis project is very far along. Why am I selling? Imoved the truck to a guy's shop that does show cars and lost interest. I have started a passionate love affair with adventuremotorcycles and wish to sell the truck to buy more motorcycle projects, toy haulers, etc. I started this project by purchasing a chassis with engine, transmission and rear differential from a guy in Kentucky. He was putting the metal from the truck on an S10 frame.
The Good:$19,000+ worth of new parts in the truck$8,000+ Brand new cab from Premier Street Rods in Arizona216 Engine professionally rebuilt by Smyth Automotive machine shop in Cincinnati and sounds amazing. I can e-mail you a video of it running4-speed manual transmission professional rebuilt by Ridge Transmission in CincinnatiRear differential professionally rebuilt including Patrick's upgrade kit for highway speeds by Ridge Transmission in CincinnatiReally nice seat, great shapeChassis was completely cleanedwith an electric/alkaline bath process and immediately primed and painted with heavy duty chassis paint. Transmission and rear differential treated with Eastwood's 4 step process. Brand new cab has special paint on the bottom for prevention of corrosion. The entire cabis new! No rust. The cab corners are not rusted out! I have all receipts and a notarized statement from the guy I bought it from which should make titlemuch easier. This project is very close to driving and title work. Finish some items andput a bed on it and you are there.
The Bad:Hood needs alignmentTruck has been sitting for a couple of months and is quite dusty Project started with chassis/engine/transmission/rear diff so all other parts have come from other trucks. Fitment has been a fun part of the project.
Please message me with questions. I can send additional photos and videos of the engine running (sounds amazing).
