Chevrolet Nova 1962 Description
1962 Chevrolet Nova 2 Door Post, 383 Stroker, Tremec, CBR Suspension, R&P Steering, etc.
Its pretty close to being road ready. Below is a list of all the work we have done to the car. I have a bunch of photos of the car during the build process and in its current state. Feel free to contact me to confirm anything before bidding. Some of the photos shown are during build. The interior is fully installed minus the backseat, which is included.
New fully welded in floors (seating, cabin area). Sound deadening on entire interior. Repainted inner doors and dash. New window seals, wipers, fuzzies on all glass. New vent window glass and seals. Front and rear glass is old. I installed new seals on both when removing and installing. If I was going to do it again, I would just replace the glass. (shows age)
New Carpet, door panels, knobs and handles on inner doors, window channels for doors are new, rebuilt door assemblies to tighten everything up. No clunking when closing doors. New headliner.
Low mile 383 Stroker with new oil pan and pump (for rack and pinion) and new Hooker Super Comp Headers. (Pricey!!!!!) All the typical bolt ons, manifold, carb, modern ignition, etc.
Custom installed BRAND NEW Tremec TKO 600 5 Speed transmission, with custom flywheel, rated bell housing, Shifter, Wilwood hydraulic clutch, custom driveshaft. Custom trans tunnel.
CBR Rack and pinion steering
New 30" steering column
Church Boys upper and lower control arm conversionwith new ball joints
Front disk brakes with cross drilled and slotted rotors
Full power brakes
Viking Custom Coil Overs fully adjustable, with wrenches
Lokar Gas pedal with cable.
New brake and clutch pedal assembly.
3 Way adjustable seats (from an Audi) installed, Black Leather
Gauges (installed and working)
Lots of new chrome
New light bezels (all front)
New tail lights
New stereo head unit (have not put in speakers yet)
New Bumpers
New Hardware all over
New bumpers brackets
All kinds of misc. new hardware, switches, wires, etc.
Correct time period grill now. New chrome all over.
Note: I have the paperwork for the majority of the work. Clear TX title in hand. Speedo shows 75k miles, and it is hooked up.
I have not put this car on the road yet since putting it together. It will still need an alignment and some tuning/timing. It starts and runs good and clean. Sounds great! Will roll (I haven't driven it yet due to needing to time it.) Paint is a 5/10. That would be my next thing to do on the car. Its black on black. Looks good from about 3 foot. Depends how picky you are on that stuff. There are some rust spots, about the size of a pencil eraser on the lip of the hood. Several of them. There are also some rust spots on the quarter panel, about the size of a half dollar. The rust is easily repairable on the next paint job, and doesn't appear to go through. It still has paint over it, just bubbling some. Can send photos to interested parties.
Trunk pan still needs to be done one day.. I have the pan.
Everything above is installed and tested. Car starts and runs. (Update, I just finished welding up the exhaust today -6/13/16, Magnaflow mufflers all the way out the back.)
Only reason I am considering letting it go is I have something else going on.
Trans package alone was 7k. I know what this car is worth in its current configuration. I have a clear Texas title for the car. Gauges show 75000 miles.
Lots of photos in the build thread here. I have plenty more to go along with it.
I have a pile of parts to go along with it, including: An original good condition back seat. Some misc. dress up stuff, old and new spares, mirror, etc. etc. etc. It all goes.

Ask any questions. I have had my hand on most bolts on this car.
