Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 1957 Description

1957 CHEVY 2 DOOR SEDAN- SURVIVOR CAR!!!

Runs fast, burns gas, and hauls ass! Drives on a line and stops on a dime!

A “turn-key”, rat rod adult toy that everyone wants!

Up for auction is a 1957 Chevrolet (Chevy) 210 2 door sedan with Belair trim. This car was literally “found in a barn” about 4 years ago. It had been given a new motor, transmission and paint job in 1987 and used by the owner at that time for a few hundred miles and then it was “put up” for the next 25 years. He kept it running and moved it around from time to time, but never drove or did anything else with it. We purchased it in 2012 and pulled it from its slumber, doing clean up, general maintenance and mechanical upgrades as needed or desired. We have used it every spring, summer and fall, driving it to local cruise-ins only. Sadly, we are moving and there is no room to take her along, so she needs to find a new, caring home!

She has had one repaint in 1987 of Corvette blue over the original gray. The VIN identifies her as a factory V-8 210 car, but we are unsure as to when the Belair trim was added. Probably at the time of the repaint. An inspection sticker found in the glovebox from 1984 showed 89k miles at that time. 105,000 miles are showing on the odometer now.

Here is a list of specs, descriptions and new parts etc.-

350- 400 hp 4 bolt main motor (was installed in ’87 by previous owner)

New 4 barrel Edelbrock carburetor

New aluminum intake (Weiand)

Double hump heads were on the motor when we found her, but unsure of what they are from or from what year.

New MSD ignition complete

It had solid lifters for race- I couldn’t stand the clatter, so a new cam and lifters were installed a while back and it makes it much more pleasing to the ear

New custom dual exhaust, pipes and mufflers

New Hooker headers and gaskets

New fuel pump

New timing cover set

New timing gears

New leaf springs

New hood springs

New radiator (aluminum)

New battery and cables

New starter

New hoses, thermostat and water pump

New “used” hood latch

New “used” headlight rings (old ones were cracked)

14 x 6 tires and wheels on front and 15 x 8 on rear

No frame rust, no quarter rust and no rocker rust- floors ok with a patch on drivers side (front/rear)

Paint is 29 years old and still looks ok- cleans up nice but has a few spots; on hood and right fin- Just surface rust however (see pictures)

Rear window trim is off the car, but it is present- All pieces

New 3:83 Posi rear- Really makes her jump!

New tires and rims all around

New brakes and wheel cylinders all around

1973 Muncie 4 speed transmission and racing clutch installed (came installed with car when we got it)

New gold grille

New tail lights and headlights

New air shocks and shock mounts

New front shocks

New motor mounts

(2) front and (2) rear bumperettes (optional, but makes the ’57 look way cooler IMO)

All fluids just changed (oil/filter/transmission/rear)

No major rust issues anywhere!!!

1973 Vega bucket seats (came installed when we got her). Rear seat is a little long in the tooth and a nice interior kit would really set off this car! Heat from rear window pretty much baked the seat top, so we cover the shelf and that part with the throw rug seen in pictures.

Clear title

Still has drum brakes all around

Headliner was removed. Dusty and dry rotted. All bows are present but not in car.

Runs best on high octane fuel

All chrome trim present and accounted for on the car

Been inside a barn/garage since ’87; that we know of. Last 4 years spent in our dry barn.

This car has awesome patina, is quite solid and runs and drives like a beast! Scary “old school” fast! Loud, lope and noisy to annoy everyone! Needs nothing to enjoy as is. She is not a trailer queen, she is a “rebel”!

This is a rare opportunity to own a ’57 Chevy 2 door survivor car that can be enjoyed as is for years to come! Not many “real” 57’s left. All that seems to be out there anymore are $10,000 rusted junk piles or 60k trailer queens that can’t be enjoyed.

PLEASE give her a new home! YOU WON”T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!

We have a BUY IT NOW price and an auction starting price as well, but there is NO RESERVE. She sells if the starting price is met at a minimum by end of auction.

We desire $500 non-refundable down payment through PAYPAL within 24 hours after close of auction. Then arrangements can be made for pickup, etc. and final payment can be cash or bank check at time of pickup of the car.

Please ask all questions or if you need more photos. We are here to help!

As is, where is. No warranties implied or expressed!

PLEASE don’t bid unless you have the money and intend to pay. Car needs to be moved within 30 days after close of auction.

THANKS for your interest!

I CAN EMAIL AS MANY PICTURES OF ANY PART OF THE CAR THAT YOU DESIRE! CONTACT ME!
