This means that the truck was manufactured sometime around July of 1945 – according to the VIN #, that means the 43rdmonth of 1942 . . . very cool!

The truck runs and drives smoothly. It is fun to have an old truck that is a real DRIVER. It is also much safer than stock – and it has POWER BRAKES, POWER STEERING, modern suspension, etc.

This truck was built to be a regular driver while still maintaining the look of an original pickup. The door bottoms are very rusty. The grill is rusty. The running boards are rusty. I will not hide the fact that there is rust on this truck. We kept it that way.

Like all old pickups, this truck has its issues. There are a few issues that do not affect how it drives, but the new owner may or may not want to fix:
The driver’s side window regulator needs adjusting, as it is difficult to raise the window completely.
The windshield wiper motor is original and not hooked up.
There is a new GM fuel sending unit, but it is not hooked up.
Driver’s window has a crack across the window. Passenger window has a small crack at the bottom. It has been that way for many years.
There is no glove box liner, but the compartment opens and latches.
No seat belts

I don’t know the mileage on this truck. I have a six-mile commute, and I have never driven this truck any long distances. It would be great driving around town.
