Chevrolet Chevelle 1970 Description
1970 Chevelle SS
This car was just recognized and honored to be nominated to the Final 12 cars ( the designer dozen) out of 8100 cars at the "Syracuse Nationals" 2016 car show on 6-16-2016.
This celebrity owned classic car is owned by former WWE Superstar, Intercontinental Champion and nationally renowned motivational speaker "Marc Mero". (Autographed pics come with the car sale).
First I must tell you about this cars performance. It is a turn key resto mod that starts, runs, shifts, moves and stops better than any classic that is stock. This is the 3rd car in a row that I have restored and I must say that the first 2 were scary to drive because they had original factory components and they felt unsafe. They did not handle very well, they were noisy because of the lack of insulation and sound deadener and they wouldn't stop well. This car not only brakes with modern precision but it handles extremely well. It is equipped with all of the modern technology including a OBD-ll diagnostic port just like all new American made cars for the easiest tuning available.
This car can be a daily driver. It could be driven from the east coast to the west coast just like a brand new car without any problem. With 450-500 H.P. it still gets 23 MPG on the highway and 17 MPG city driving. Sorry you original fanatics, there is no comparison from original to modern when it comes to performance, dependability and comfort. The contoured bucket seats with 6 way electric setting are right out of a 2014 SS Camaro.
I can write all day about the positive experience that I have witnessed from my first hand driving comparisons with this car and previous original or close to original cars that I built. The biggest notes are Safety, Dependability, Performance and Comfort. Call me with any questions. My number is below.

BODYWORK/TRIM
The “Sterling Gray” paint scheme with the custom stripe sets this Chevelle off! The origin of this car is Georgia. There is no salt used on the roads in Ga. It was a very solid car that I searched long and hard to find. There was NO rust or rot in the floorboards or trunk. Not even a bit! Every removable panel was replaced. Not because of rust but because of the laser sharp finish that I desired. The rear quarters were in amazing shape and needed very little touchup.
ENGINE & COMPARTMENT
When one looks into this car’s gloss black engine bay they become mesmerized. In the engine bay you'll see the results of custom car craftsmanship at it’s best! First, you’ll notice the custom LS3, 6.2L carbon fiber engine cover that makes this paint scheme dance! This LS3 engine easily pushes 450 H.P. and can be chipped to produce much more. It has been dyno- tuned by the renowned Vengeance Racing out of Alpharetta Georgia to get as high as 23 MPG on they highway and 17 MPG during local driving. Next you will notice a high quality polished aluminum March Serpentine Pulley System that Spins all of the Polished alternator and modern AC compressor. In front of that is a polished custom built aluminum radiator with dual electric temperature controlled high and low end cooling fans and a custom black and polished radiator top cover. The polished power steering reservoir, polished radiator overflow reservoir, the polished master cylinder add to the amazing look that separates this car from other show and performance cars.
DRVETRAIN / SUSPENSION
Under this Chevelle, a clean coated and painted undercarriage shows less that 1500 miles since built. The solid floorpans are coated in durable undercoating. Powering this LS3 Chevelle is an impressive Tremec 6-speed (hydraulic shifter), Hurst Shifter that spins a balanced red powder coated drive shaft into a 12-bolt posi-traction rear end with 3.73 gears. That superb drivetrain is surrounded by an upgraded and modern suspension including custom front and rear sway bars, aftermarket control arms and modern lowering springs. When the road starts to twist, power-assisted steering maximizes the driver's input. Four Wilwood power-assisted calipers squeeze four drilled and slotted rotors to provide outstanding braking. Spent gases race from the aforementioned headers in to an H-shaped crossover and rowdy Magnaflow mufflers. Power flows to Custom staggered polished and gunmetal wheels, 18”x 9.5” in the Rears and 17”x 8” on the front that ride above a Coil-Over front system and a Coil Rear Air Suspension.
INTERIOR
Sporting a custom Charcoal Gray/Silver leather interior, this Chevelle is Stunning, Inviting and Unique. It’s plush Custom Bucket Seats (from a 2014 SS Camaro), which feature red stitching, show no signs of wear at all. Everything in the interior is newly covered. In front of those seats is a custom polished silver brushed dash panel that frames an astounding assortment of beautiful electronic gauges. The dash is Charcoal Gray Leather with red baseball stitching. Between the seats is a custom built console that stretches from the front lower dash, all the way to the headrest area in the rear bucket seats. The console anchors a traditional chrome shifter and white 6 speed knob. A Sleek set of power window switches in the doors, a Pioneer touch-screen audio system in the dash and the console that flows all the way to the head area in the back seat is trimmed with dual drink holders in the front and rear along with (2) power ports and (1) USB port. Beneath that console, deluxe Charcoal carpet floats matching floor mats between a bright billet courtesy lamp, New rubber & stainless trimmed foot pedals and custom kick panels with speakers. At the sides of that carpet, sculpted door panels feature billet handles and custom polished aluminum trim. Above the passengers is a custom 2 tone leather headliner with polished aluminum trim. In front of the driver is a custom "D" shaped Billet Steering Wheel polished and covered in 3/4 leather. And behind the passengers is a fully restored trunk features a nice combination of carpet and 2 tone leather with polished aluminum highlight trim..
Exhaust
Hedman Hustler headers with custom bent exhaust going into magna flow dual mufflers with built in wireless remote exhaust cutouts and oval chrome tailpipe tips
