Chevrolet Other Pickups 1949 Description
I have a very nice '49 Chevy 2 ton tilt bed grain dump truck. It starts on the first crank every time and runs well. The transmission shifts well and works as it should. The tilt bed works with no problems. The brakes work by pumping, probably needs a wheel cylinder. It has been converted to 12 volt and has an alternator. I installed a new battery in January this year. The body is straight and solid and is virtually rust-free. The floors are solid with no rust-out. The bottom of the fenders and the door bottoms are solid. The running boards are straight and solid with no dents or dings. There is a very small area on the bottom of the P/S cab corner that has just a little rust just starting, not much at all. The only dent on the truck is on top of the D/S fender behind the headlight as shown in one of the pics. The paint is a decent 20 footer. It could possibly be buffed out and it would be good as-is, or a quick scuff and shoot paint job could be done inexpensively. The paint is a little thin on the D/S of the hood shown in a picture, and the cab roof paint is thin and has slight surface rust. The truck spent its life in dry western Oklahoma and was barn kept when not in use. The seat will need to be reupholstered, or it could be used as-is. I have a new LMC aftermarket seat cover that will go with the truck. The springs are good. I also have a new LMC headliner that also goes with the truck.
It has a solid metal bed floor over its wood floor. The bed measures 13' x 7' x 3' and has a 273 cubic feet capacity.
If you have 0 or negative feedback, contact me prior to bidding. I reserve the right to cancel your bid otherwise.
I have a clear title in my name. I can help arrange transport of the truck to you if needed. If you do not have a transporter that you use, we have a 30' gooseneck trailer with ramps and can deliver it to you. I will be glad to give you a quote for us to deliver it to your door. You may also pick up the truck, and once full payment has been made, I can store it for you for awhile. I have other pics of the truck available and will be glad to answer questions or get additional pics that you need.
