Chevrolet Corvette 1986 Description
Relisting local buyer could not get the money together. This is a 1986 Corvette. I have owned it for about 2 years now and was going to use it for an easy project car. Now I am wanting a newer model. This car was kept in the garage the entire time I have had it and as far as I know never smoked in. At this price it is a great starter corvette, it still gets looks even for its age. I have not driven it much since I have had it only on nice days. I stored it during October thru around April. This has the digital space age gauges of the 80's. All work as they should and you can switch between different functions as well as switch the speedo for mph to kmh. I have not had any trouble with this car starting or any mechanical problems. The main problem with this car are the wheels. They are off a 90's era corvette so the wheels have spacers. I took it to my local mechanic and he said the spacers on it are high quality, but at around 62 mph the ride is kinda rough. he said the correct wheels would solve this problem and it would ride like new. Correct wheels can be bought for about $450 a set of four. The interior is in very good condition for a 30 year old car. The only noticeable wear areas is the back carpet where the roof slides in and out of its bracket. I have updated the stereo and rear speakers. It is missing the headlight knob, not the switch just the little knob.Body wise there are a few paint scuffs and a scratch along the bottom of the passenger side ( done by the previous owner). There is a spot of paint missing on the driver side headlight. It is not a gouge or anything if you run your fingers over it it is just as smooth as the paint. The car has plenty of get up and go and can get away from you if your not carefull. if you want more pics or video email me.Copy and paste link to checkout a video here: youtube.com/watch?v=qCrO9u0IKak&feature=youtube_gdata
