I am listing this car for a friend. Please call him at 913/905-9012 with any questions. I will answer messages to the best of my ability. 1969 Chevelle 300 Deluxe SS post car. Was originally a 396/4 speed, but now has a 454 and Turbo 400 Transmission. Neat, rare car! Once owned by Tony Begley. Please see all photos. Here are some details.
Exterior- Has original code 67 maroon. Appears to have been repainted once. Paint is shiny and smooth but has chips in some areas. The only rust I detect is on the very bottom of the RR 1/4 panel behind the wheel and 4 bubbles on the lower front of the passenger door. Trunk appears to be solid. Please see photo.
Trim- Bumpers, bezels, grille and emblems are NICE and appear to be original. The aluminum Deluxe trim around the doors shows age, but is not dinged up. All weather strip is intact and appears to be original.
Engine- Std. bore 454 with mild hydraulic cam. Has a nice lope at idle and feels powerful. Engine was freshened up recently with new SCAT crank, rings, bearings, oil pump, timing chain and gasket set. Carburetor is a Holley 3310-6 750 CFM.
Transmission- TH 400 with TCI 10" Breakaway converter (p/n 240900)and shift kit. Shifter is B&M Magnum Grip Pro Stick. Transmission shifts FIRM.
Rearend- 12 bolt with 3:73 gears and posi-traction. Lower control arms appear to be factory boxed.
Exhaust- Headers with Flowmaster mufflers. Aluminized 2 1/2" pipe out the back. The car sounds great!
Interior- Dash has factory gauge and tach cluster. Tach has 5500 RPM redline. All gauges and tach work. Odometer reads 30k miles. Gear indicator window is blocked off. Buckets and carpet have been installed and are in great condition except one headrest has cracks. The rest of the interior is in VERY nice condition and appears to be original.
Options- Power steering and power disc brakes. New brake booster has been installed.
