Chevrolet Impala 1970 Description
1970 Impala Kingswood Estate (9 Passenger Station Wagon) * NO RESERVE AUCTION *Engine - 350 SBC (believe to be factory original) with newly rebuilt 2 barrel Rochester
Transmission - Powerglide
Wheels/Tires - 20 Inch BOSS Wheels in the rear with 18's in the front - Both wheels and tires are like new
Interior - Very nice/clean factory original blue interior. All three seats are in nice shape along with the carpet. However the dash is cracked above the drivers seat and the headliner is starting to fray above rear window.
Paint/Body - To be nice or show quality the car needs some body work and repainted. The car was "keyed" down both sides prior to my ownership and the clear coat is peeling especially on the hood and tailgate. There are also some "bubbles" starting to show through on the bottoms of the quarters front fenders and bottom of the rear gate. However when it is cleaned up and you are driving down the road or standing 15-20 feet away it looks GREAT!
MISC. - Factory working AC rare original vinyl top option factory 9 passenger with rear facing 3rd row seating. Working power rear window (can be controlled from drivers seat or the tailgate). Double opening tailgate (folding down needs adjustment) It also has a new starter battery and most hoses/braking components have recently been replaced.
General - This is a great looking driver and I would not hesitate to jump in it and drive anywhere. I have no problem cruising 65-70+ mph and can run on 87 octane. Surprisingly for how big the car is it actually gets pretty good gas mileage (mid-high teens typically on road trips). The car does puff a little smoke on initial "cold" start up but quickly disappears after a few seconds. It also has a clear Pennsylvania title. However as I mentioned earlier if you are looking for perfection this is not the car for you. It really could use a some body work/repaint and some basic TLC to be really nice.
Payment - Winning bidder MUST make a $500 non refundable deposit (PayPal or cash) within 48 hours after the end of the auction. Remaining payment is due within 10 days. Cash is preferred. I will take personal or certified check but it MUST clear the bank before the car leaves my possession and/or title is transferred... NO EXCEPTIONS
Shipping - Winning bidder is responsible for ALL shipping needs. Myself or my father will be able to assist with loading the car onto truck or trailer if needed. Car is located approximately 90 minutes east of Pittsburgh PA in Berlin - zip code 15530.
