Chevrolet C-10 1970 Description
You are bidding on a 1970 Chevrolet CST-10 pickup truck. This is the Custom Sport model featuring woodgrain body side moldings, custom interior, factory gauges, power steering, power brakes, limited slip rear axle (posi), AM radio and factory tool box (on passenger side of bed). The truck came out of Nevada and as such, has a clean body with very little rust. The worst spot is probably the driver's side front floor pan (see pics). Even this would only require patching (not a full floor). The rockers are solid, frame is nice, underbody is clean. The lower, front passenger fender needs a patch. Again, see pics. The windshield is cracked. Does not leak or affect driveability, but will eventually need to be replaced.
From the numbers on the motor, it appears to have a 283 small block Chevy with a 4 bbl carb. Has new spark plugs, new starter, new heater core & hoses and a new radiator cap. The carb is the correct number and is professionally remanufactured / restored at a cost of nearly $300. Just changed the oil and the anti-freeze is bright green. Motor starts & runs good. Has very good oil pressure. Also has a new power steering belt.
Transmission is a TH350 automatic. Rearend looks to be the original posi. Trans works fine, rear is good, brakes are good.
I have some extra parts available to the winning bidder (at extra cost), if they are interested:
-pair of original black door panels
-original black dash pad
-pair of original black sun visors with center, trim piece
-two cowl panels
-engine and front light harnesses in good shape
-New torque converter / flexplate cover
-extra gauge cluster & bezel
