This was a wonderful survivor to start with...a lot of time and money was spent to make it dependable and fun! Everything works. READY TO DRIVE AND ENJOY!
ENGINE: Original 6 cylinder 216 engine. Starts easily, runs very well, Great compression. NEW points, plugs, condensor, coil, fuel pump, water pump, fan belt and hoses. Original carburetor completely rebuilt.
TRANMISSION: Original 4-speed Saginaw transmission. Fresh fluids, shifts very well. No issues. No loud whining in the transmission or rear end,
INTERIOR: All original as it came from the factory. The following items are new and replaced with period correct parts. ALL NEW: Headliner, seat cover, speedometer, door windlace and seals, window felt and floor mat. Turn signals and seat belts also installed.
BRAKES AND ELECTRICAL: ALL NEW-Master cylinder, 4 new wheel cylinders, brake shoes replaced were necessary, new brake hoses and brake fluid. New wiring were necessary, new rear brake lights...new parking bulbs. Even the dash lights and and dome light work! Emergency brake also fixed and works as new.
BODY/SHEET MEDAL. RUST FREE Cab corners, floors, inner fenders, hinge pockets bed and running boards-ALL RUST FREE. Minor pitting in the toe board area on each side was repaired with fiberglass, un-noticable to an untrained eye, painted and well done. RUNNING BOARDS are original and amazingly straight. BED RAILS are incredible...not beat up, and the stake pockets are NOT damaged at all. DOORS AND HOOD open and shut easy, don't rattle and seams line up well. TRUCK BED has a steel plate that was installed to obviously save the original wood floor and probably to haul grain. The body has a few bumps and bruises, but is far better than most. ALL GLASS is excellent and door windows roll up and down easily.
OTHER ITEMS: New exhaust and muffler, New kingpins in front and a new gasket on rear axle cover plate. Undercarriage is very clean. I can provide pictures to serious bidders.
