Chevrolet Other 1976 Description
This really cool little Vega Gt is pretty much all original and runs and drives great. The Vega has a " Dura-Built" 4 cylinder engine that runs good with no smoke or funny noises and is backed by a good shifting "first year option" 5 speed manual transmission. The rear end is tagged "use limited slip differential fluid only" and is good and quiet. The body is very straight and rust free with no dents and the new shiny black paint looks great and is excellent driver quality. I say this because there is some swirl marks from being buffed "please look at the pictures". The GT stripes are painted in shiny grey metallic paint and look excellent. The under carriage {floor pans, rocker panels, uni-rails} is solid and rust free also. The interior is in very good condition with no holes, rips, or tears and the dash pad is not cracked or busted either. All the gauges work with the exception of the tachometer and the clock. There is a Sear's AM-FM 8-track tape player that works well and is definitely a blast from the past. There is an original owner's manual, sales brochure, and repair manuals that is included in the sale. There is also an original set of "nos" floor mats that is included also. All the glass is good but the windshield has a crack on the driver's side. This is a factory AC car but the ac compressor is locked up and will need to be rebuilt. The Vega has new tires, brakes, hoses, anti-freeze, oil and filter, air filter, carb. rebuilt, shocks, and battery. There has been a lot of money spent on parts and repairs to get the Vega back road worthy and I have driven it so far 200 miles without any problems but please keep in mind that this is a 40 year old car. Someone had cut the original trunk floor out to install a fuel cell {plans to make a V-8 drag car}, then I bought the Vega. After I looked the car over, I decided that it was way to good of an original car to "butcher" so I fabricated a new trunk floor and installed it along with an alternative fuel tank that works well but is NOT the original. I could not find an original tank that was any good for use and I could not find one that was reproduced either. With that being said everything works fine but I wanted the new owner to know all of this. I believe in being honest with all my listings. I have a clean clear title for the new owner and I have the Vega priced right. Please look at all the pictures and ask all questions that you have and I'll get back to you. Cash payment in hand, in person upon pickup of vehicle. Vehicle needs to be picked up within 3 days unless prior arrangements have been made. All offers are welcomed but please don't offer if you have no plans on following thru with the transaction. It is the buyer's responsibility to make all shipping arrangements but I am flexible to meet your shipper for pick up of vehicle. Please look at my feedback and buy with confidence, God Bless and thanks.
