Chevrolet Camaro 1968 Description
Gorgeous hugger orange 1968 Camaro SS, built extremely well to handle like a new one but fast. If you are looking for a gorgeous 68' Camaro with incredibly slick hugger orange paint that will burn the tires in ALL four gears... This is it. The body and paint is very fine. I will call it a 9++ out of 10. Ps and pb The engine is a full roller 454 (468 ci) with a Holley 920cfm carb. built with nothing less than high quality internals. The bottom end is a fully balanced Eagle rotating assy. Eagle steel crank, I-beam rods and Keith Black Pistons (10:1). Competition Cams 292 solid roller cam @ 660 lift. Competition push rods, and Competition Roller rockers. Square port open chamber heads with stainless valves. Exhaust is 3" and the Sound this monster makes is addicting awesome as only a big block can. Transmission is a Muncie Four speed that shifts perfectly Rear is a 12 bolt with an Auburn posi unit with4:11gearing. (Axles, I cannot remember what brand now..they are also replaced) Interior is fine, all interior was also painted at time of build, new autometer gauges were installed, new wiper motor was installed as well with billet aluminum knobs, every single thing works. Subframe connectors, rear ladder bars, front end has been gone thru well and has all springs replaced. Four core cooling system with extra electric fan. Average heavy traffic temperature averages 180 degrees and never runs overly warm and this is without the electric fan ever on. Much of the undercarriage was reworked at the time of build ( about 4 years ago) gas tank is also new The car rides on 17" Boyd Coddington wheels which in themselves were 3500.00Faults : it does have 3" exhaust but they stopped the exhaust in front of the rear end. It needs to be run all the way out of the back to reduce rumble from inside, unless you are like me and like the sound.. It is loud inside for some. Two seat belts have not been bolted to floor from when car was built although they are there. One headlight alignment screw has come out causeinv the drivers side light to be pulled to the inside. I just never got around to it. I had planned to replace them with new HID lights with the orange halo.. Just never did. It is rarely driven at night and just don't think about it. The horn is not wired to the steering wheel button but rather to another button underneath the column. It works perfectly tho. The speedometer does not read correctly and has not been calibrated yet. That's it! I've tried to remember even the smallest detail This fine 68' drives as nice as your new car does. I'm an older guy and have collected many muscle cars over the many years. Many old muscle, esp with bigger engines tend to have their own personality. Those gear heads out there will understand what I mean. Some engines have their own unique ways of acting when hot. Some are hard to crank or run rich. Many load up after a long idle. This gem has NONE of these issues. It cranks perfectly all day everyday, has ZERO leaks and can be driven on any power tour anywhere. I have been in Ebay since 1999, look up my business user precisionserviceco, a couple three years ago I decided to use that acct specifically for one of my businesses and I started this one for personal stuff. Check out my feedback there as well. You are welcome to come look at this car, please do! I can help with shipping if needed. I will be listing several of my cars these next few days, including the finest completely original ( still near new) 1966 nova SS's I've ever seen with 39k miles. If you're looking for the best investment 66 novas this will be it. The reserve is far less than retail. I've a wedding to pay for soon.
Good luck
