Chevrolet Other Pickups 1958 Description

I bought this Apacheseven years ago from Steel Dreams in Gilbert, AZ, finished the details and have enjoyed every moment of ownership; it has just over 12,000 miles since being completely redone. It's a true turn-key daily driver and many feel thata hotrod truck is the only useable hotrod. I'm only selling it to buy a nastier version.
The cab is lined with sound-deadening, the fenders and chassis are undercoated. The heat and AC systems work perfectly. Tires are good, title is clear. *Note: A hotrod without AC will quickly become a non-driven car! AC is a game changer and this Vintage Air system will freeze you out of the cab. Heater works too.
A Mustang II front end provides the power steering and disc brakes, drums in rear. Master cylinder is under the floor fuel tankunder the bed.
Interior is nice...bench seat with headrests, center console that is removable, nicely painted and not overdone. Kenwood stereo with four tri-axial speakers...Blue Tooth enabled, CD player, AM/FM. Lap seat belts. Tilt steering column, aluminum and rubber steering wheel, horn works. There are two 12-volt jacks under the dash.
The ZZ4 has an Edelbrock carburetor with electric choke. Aluminum radiator. Electric fuel pump. Exhaust system is standard manifolds with Flowmaster mufflers that sound sharp. 350 tranny with cooler, very tall gear in back...perhaps a 3.08? Cruises at 80 mph turning about 2500 rpm.
Steel Rally wheels with beauty rings and hubcaps...tires are new in front, okay in rear.
This truck sat outside a speed shop in Phoenix and the paint on the front fendersis faded. The hood and bed were repainted, but the front fenders are faded. There are no dents, but a few scratches that were touched up years ago.The enginehas an occasional oil drip and I think the aftermarket valve covers are seeping, though I just resealed them so that might be fixed.
I've never towed anything, but there's a tow hitch and wiring hookup, plus an electric brake box on the steering column.
My goal with this truck was to have modern-vehicle usefulness with a vintage look, and it is just that. It's rarely gone anywhere without something in the bed, and I've already got a down-payment on another hotrod Chevy truck.
I'm sure there are things I've left out. The truck is near Pueblo, CO, and I recommend that you or your agent see it. This is a no-reserve auction so do not bid unless you will buy it. Please call me at 702-354-1667 to discuss. -Nick
