Chevrolet C-10 1972 Description
Restored 1972 Chevrolet K10 Short Bed Custom Deluxe 4x4. Older restoration in excellent condition. 350 CI with Automatic Transmission. 2 tone paint is in very solid condition, no runs or drips. Not a concourse paint job, but definite attention to detail. This is a rust free short bed. The pictures tell most of the story. Interior is in equally nice condition, nothing was overlooked. Never smoked in, stored indoors.
Truck runs and drives like one would expect from a ground up restoration, everything is operating as it should right down to the fuel indicator. Has Tachometer and Tilt Wheel. Tracks down the road true and straight. 4 high and 4 low operate smoothly. Not sure of the size of the lift, but sits nicely and not overdone.
As anyone knows these K10 shortbeds are getting scarce and finding a true uncut shortbox is even harder. This is NOT a shortened long bed! We don't have a SPID card on the truck but we bought it with a couple other K10s and they had all been in Colorado for quite some time. I've personally inspected the frame and photographed it as well, please look them over.
Our Custom Deluxe was just gone through as it had been stored for some time before we purchased as we wanted to ensure it was absolutely ready for the next owner to enjoy right from the time of purchase. Within the last 60 days it received a new fuel pump, battery, valve cover gaskets, oil pan gasket, new water pump, thermostat gasket, transmission cover, timing gears and chain, timing cover and seal, crankshaft seal, rear differential gasket. All the typical seals and gaskets that go bad from not being driven. We also had the carb rebuilt and dialed in for 4200 feet and electric choke works perfectly. Fresh lube, oil filter and any other lubricants needed, completely serviced. Odometer reads 25347 and is functional, but true mileage is unknown and will be sold as mileage "exempt" on the Colorado title as it is over 10 years old.
If there is one flaw I would pick the truck apart over, it would be the oil pan has a ding in it. Not sure how it happened, does not affect anything but we strive to be transparent when describing a vehicle to potential bidders.
