Chevrolet Camaro 1968 Description

You’re bidding on a very solid, numbers-matching 1968 Camaro with 29k miles. This Camaro is very solid with original exterior panels, interior and drivetrain. The 327ci motor and powerglide automatic transmission are the numbers-matching units it was born with. This Chevy is equipped with power steering, bucket seats, console and 15” Ralley wheels. Body is super straight with no dents or rust issues. The black interior looks to be in good shape for being original. Fly in drive and this iconic Camaro home!

Note: The car shows 29,485 miles and title states 29,214 “actual miles”. Owner states that this car sat for years and became neglected. We can’t verify the authenticity of the mileage. A past owner got the car running, had it repainted. We have no documentation of its past history. It’s not a “stored show car” more like a survivor. It is up to the buyer to verify the validity of the miles from the information provided in this ad. We make no claims that the miles are original.

This is a rare classic vehicle with a low reserve to protect some of its value. Bid retractions are not accepted. Retracting your bid for an incorrect amount without entering a corrected amount is a clear attempt to reveal the Reserve as well as a violation of eBay policy. We block bidders who violate this policy and also report the violation to eBay. If the reserve is not met we will work with the high bidder to complete the sale.

Body is all original panels and in very solid condition with no patch panels, dents or rust issues. Panels and body gaps look good. The repaint is shiny and nice and does have a few chips here and there. The repaint is driver-quality and looks to be enamel paint from many years ago. The brite work pieces appear to be in good to very-nice condition. Some have gotten a few dents over the years but nothing major and they could be restored easily. Most of the weatherstripping looks original and in good condition with some pieces being replaced in the recent past. All the glass is ok, no major damage but the side glass pieces have light scratches from being used a lot. Windshield has 2 small chips but no cracks. Vinyl top is in good shape with no rips or tears and showing no signs of rust bubbles under the top.

Interior looks to be original and in pretty good shape. It’s good enough to leave as is for a “driver” but not show condition. There are no major issues but there is wear visible on seats, console, carpeting and door panels. Dash pad appears to be in great shape with no damage. Headliner looks good too. All the gauges, headlights, directionals, aftermarket radio, wipers, heater and blower all work. Console is in good condition with no cracks or damage but the wood insert does have wear.

Drivetrain is the original 327ci engine and appears to maybe have had the cam and lifters changed and an Edelbrock aluminum intake installed at some point. Motor runs beautifully with no smoke, noise or and issues. It is numbers-matching but we have no idea what has been done to the engine other than what I observed. The automatic Powerglide transmission shifts great without the power-slide normally found in these. New alternator and master cylinder have been installed in the last few years. Power steering works as it should. Car has good brakes and steering is tight not sloppy. This car runs and drives very nice.

Undercarriage looks very solid with no patch panels, frame damage or any other major issues. Trunk drop offs and rockers look very solid and nice. The undercarriage does have light undercoating on it. There are 2 repairs that I can see. First is a small repair; 2-inch by 4-inch repair on the floor from something poking thru it. The other is the rear valance panel. Looks like it was separated at some point and tack welded up, maybe from a light rearend hit. Body guy probably gained access to make the repair. Frame and inner structure show no accident damage. It has single-leaf leaf springs with air shocks. It has stock-appearing 15” Ralleye wheels and the tires are in good condition. The stock exhaust is in good shape with a new muffler recently installed.

Note:

Car come with all the jack pieces but no spare tire.

2 sets of keys

Clear Ohio title stating 29,214 miles with 29,485 miles showing on working odometer.

There are no receipts or documentation other than what’s listed in this ad.

I realize that it is difficult to purchase a vehicle you may not be able to inspect in person. I build vehicles too – so I try to show you everything I would want to see if I was buying a vehicle for myself. As you can see by my feedback (100% positive), I describe my vehicles accurately. I have sold other vehicles on eBay to happy buyers worldwide so you can be confident when making a purchase.

This description includes a video (the first picture should have a “Play” arrow on it). The video may not play on all mobile phones. Please view it on your computer if it doesn’t play on your cell phone.

I have made my best effort to accurately represent the car based on my expertise as a vehicle builder, what I have observed in evaluating it and preparing it for sale, and what I have been told by the owner, but this is the extent of my knowledge. Please ask questions before bidding! This is being solid AS IS with no warranty or guarantees and is up to the buyer to verify any and all info listed above in the description! This vehicle is also for sale locally. You are welcome to arrange a viewing of this vehicle. Again, this is a classic vehicle that has been driven and enjoyed. It’s not perfect or a museum piece so there may be minor imperfections in the body, brite work and glass. Anything to note is listed above.

No trade or barter.

I am not responsible for any fees, or taxes or any out-of-pocket costs. Buyer is responsible for all state, county, city taxes and fees, as well as title/registration fees in the state that the vehicle will be registered. No warranty, sold as is.

Shipping is the Buyer’s responsibility. I will not ship but will work with your shipping company. A list of contact information for some of the shipping companies previous Buyers have used can be provided upon request for your quotation and shipping needs. Pick-up arrangements (by the Buyer or the shipping company) must be coordinated in advance to insure my availability since I am often in and out on business. Local delivery may be possible within 200 miles of zip code 44056 for an extra charge. Buyer is responsible for all shipping and related arrangements and payments. Vehicle must be paid in full before it leaves my premises.

Insurance: I highly recommend that the buyer put insurance on the vehicle upon purchase as I am not responsible for any damage incurred after leaving my premises.

Good luck and happy bidding!
