Chevrolet Chevelle 1970 Description

Rare un-restored Survivor Car 1970 Chevelle SS 454 LS5 — 4Speed M22 Rock crusher Canadian built at Oshawa Ontario ( one of 57) "fully documented" 31000 original miles all matching numbers 70% original paint (some areas have been touched up over the years) fathom blue factory cowl induction stripe delete car ( cowl induction with stripes was actually an option this car was ordered without it creating a nice "sleeper" the non functional hood is original to this car) very nice original black bench seat interior ( vinyl/cloth combination) original carpet headliner door panels dash etc. Factory standard steering power disc brakes factory gauges rear window defroster block heater. All original stainless trim glass rally wheels trunk paint and original spare tire and jack. Sheet metal (floor pans still retain much of the original factory black paint)This is a "rust free" western car the car was preserved using an annual ( every 1-2 years) oil spray method which you can see in the undercarriage shots the oil used has a drip less waxy feature which is a Canadian technique used rather than undercoating. Full documentation comes with this car including:2 original build sheets one found under front seat and one under backseat protecto plate as well as GM Canada documentation (including original microfilm which shows the original build date and sequence of the cars being built that day). Clear title. Car is available for inspection during the auction. Telephone inquiries to 1-314-723-0042. The cars original Muncie shifter and linkage was replaced with a Hurst shifter many years ago. This car was originally shipped to a GM dealer in Regina Saskatchewan- Hauser Chev/Olds on Jan. 27th 1970 and sold to its first customer Feb 24th 1970. This car was sparingly driven which is evident when you look underneath and see its original front spiral shocks ball joints tie rod ends idler arm etc. The car is beautiful to drive still very tight; no wind noise (original weather stripping) steering handling and braking are still very very good. The car drives like it's a 2 year old car not to mention the tons of torque (500 ft Ibs) and a 4 speed M22 and 331 gears that just makes it even more fun to enjoy. This car is a very collectible piece of the Chevelle muscle car history to find a Canadian built car in this condition; with full documentation that has been maintained and been left basically as the factory built it is rare. As a collector car this car can be maintained shown driven and enjoyed. IT can be left as it is its collectable value will remain strong from an investment point of view partly due to its unrestored condition and Canadian origin. The car remained in Canada for all if its 39 years before I purchased it and brought it to Missouri in April 2009 with 29000 miles. Since I acquired the car it has been stored in a temperature controlled environment and driven only an additional 2000 miles.Gas tank was replaced before I purchased it. I have had radiator rebuilt and put on new correct exhaust hangers and new rear spiral shocks.Car has all original dated glass.
