Chevrolet G20 Van 1984 Description
Hello and thanks for looking....
This A-Team replica is/was being built as a driver and not a show piece. It is almost complete and I will leave some aspects of it to finish at the discretion of the new owner. The van is a 1984 Chevy G20 that I changed to GMC badging. The van was a bare bones work van and was daily driven until I started the conversion. It has the small 305 motor in it that runs okay but considering the look of the van now a bigger motor might be in its future should the new owner desire it to run how it looks. Now I must mention that the biggest issue with the van is the clear coat. I'm not sure what happened at the paint shop but the clear coat has a bunch of small dimples in it throughout the van. The clear might be able to be sanded and re-shot but I'm not sure. With that being said it really isn't noticeable until you are within just a few feet of the van and even then it depends on the angle you look at the van. I tried to capture them in a couple of the pictures but they are really small.Inside the van there isnew fabric throughout (carpet andside panels). The overhead console contains an old school"Cobra" CB radio that appears to work and thefour switches for the auxiliary lights at the front of the van.I have also installed new weather-stripping on all the doors along with new Monroe shocks front and rear. I have also re-sealed the rain gutter as that is crucial with these old vans in preventing rust.the van has air conditioning but it does not work at this time. I also have a 2 1/2" exhaust with a new catalytic converter and Magna-flow mufflerthat I can install should the new buyer desire to have.
Please feel free to ask any questions regarding this project. Iam still working on it as there are some small things that I still want to do to it even though I am advertising it now. I will update this adwith new photos and information.
