Chevrolet C/K Pickup 2500 1985 Description
I am selling this truck for my 75 year old Father. He originally bought it from a relative and was going to use it for a truck that he could use for something to take to his cabin. After deciding to get it painted, he decided to have the interior done. That snowballed into having the entire truck restored. Needless to say, it never saw his cabin. It has only 960 miles since it was redone. (new gauge cluster)Note that the truck is actually a GMC but he likes Chevrolet so all the of the trim says Chevrolet. All of that trim is right from the Chevy dealer and it is OEM.
First off, I have to say that this truck was painted about 10 years ago. It has been kept inside but it has had a few VERY light scratches. They're hard to see and even harder to photograph. I know they would buff out but I want whoever buys this to know that it is not 100% perfect. That being said, it is dang close! My father owned an auto parts store for over 30 years and he is very picky with his vehicles.
- The entire truck was painted by the very best around. Heavenly Bodies Customs. The paint job alone was $7400. These guys do the very top of the line show cars around here. But, it wasn't a frame off... It didn't need to be.
- The entire interior was also redone. New carpet, new dash, new gauge cluster, new shift boot and Hurst 4wd selector knob, Seats were re-upholstered, new steering wheel EVERYTHING NEW! It has a "new at the time" pioneer CD player. I'm sure its outdated now but it still works great because its NEW.
- All of the lenses were replaced, Tail lights, turn signal lenses and headlights. He had a Rhino Liner put in with the UV protection top coat. The diamond plate tail gate covers and front bed cover have been powder coated. The wheel arch trim has been powder coated. New Grill, all new trim pieces, new tailgate trim.. The list goes on and on and on.
- All of the steering and suspension components have been replaced with premium components as well as new wheels and new tires.
- The truck has a new Chevy 350 engine new 700R4 transmission and transfer case. It has a set of Doug's headers (he is friends with Doug Thorley) and a new Holly carb for decent power but also good reliability. As you can see everything under the hood is new, including the radiator and a new A/C system.
A few small notes: there is a piece of trim missing from the drivers door. The old one had a small wrinkle in it so it was removed and we are waiting on the dealer to get our new one here. This truck gets started every week but as you can see by the miles, it does not get driven every week. We have been driving it around a little bit lately and it seems very sound but that being said, we unfortunately can not offer a warranty. As with any vehicle that hasn't been driven much, we expect that there may be some small things that may need to be addressed. Although if by some chance there was an issue, we still own the parts store and can get you great prices on parts that you may need.
I know there is much much more to list. If you are a serious buyer, PLEASE contact me. I can get you in touch with my Father and he can answer any question you have.
If you want the truck to be shipped we are okay with that. But you must arrange and pay for all the shipping costs.
