Chevrolet Camaro 1970 Description

You'll be hard pressed to find a cleaner or more ORIGINAL Hugger Orange 1970 RS Camaro! As the third owner of this classic muscle car, I have had the honor of driving and caring for her for about 27 years.

She went through a rotisserie-like/frame offrestoration in 2007-8 with a repaint back to her correct, cowl tagged, code 65,Hugger Orange color. The few, minorbody repairs needed were completed with metal and as little bondo as absolutely necessary. Components were rebuilt, rather than replaced, ifat allpossible, toretain the integrity of her original condition and matching numbers, even down to her original urethane front nose bumper and interior dome light.

TheV8 engine was rebuilt and balanced to LT1 specs by Paolo Engine Service of Oregon City, Oregon (Milwaukie, then)just prior to my purchase at about 88k with 11:1 HC pistons and other high performance components. Paolo, in business since 1980, specializes in high performance boat and race car engines. The deck was shaved but casting numbers are correct. Also rebuilt was the numbers matching TH400 transmission. Otherdrivetrain components and rear end are also correct and the suspension, front and rear sway bars and alignment were fine tuned for superior cornering ability.

An Edelbrock Performer intake and carb were added later as were braided hose covers, braided plug wires and a few chrome "fancies" to brighten up the engine compartment.During her latest makeover, she received new urethanebody mounts, bushings and new brake pads as well as an Optima battery..

This sweet ride has power brakes, disc front, the rare COPO rear spoiler and the front "chin style"spoiler, 150 mph speedo, console, true RS hide-a-way windshield wipers, windshield antenna, bright mouldings, power steering, HD 4 core radiator, Sport mirrors (left remote), 15 inch rally wheels, and OEM Derby-style chrome center caps.Lap belts and factory shoulder harness for driver and front passenger.

Other attributes include dual stainless steelexhaust, sound deadener mat under the carpet, new driver seat bun and cover, and new dash pad.Sound system is old school, Sony AM/FM/cassette with equalizer and six speakers. Interior auxiliary blue leds lights.

Her VIN shows she is a Norwood, Ohio car. According to information obtained mostlyon Camarosource andNastyZ28, the total production number for 1970 Camaros, which began February 26, 1970,was 124,901. Of that figure, 92,249 were built in Norwood.Of the total production, only 21% or 27,136 were ordered with the Z22 RS Package.

She is definitely a head turner! Receipts will go with her. Any questions will be promptly answered.Ask for any additional or specific photos!
