Chevrolet Corvette 1960 Description
This Corvette is a true Barn Find, after 41 YEARSit's Screaming to be finished and back on the road.
This Beautiful 1960 corvettehas a very attractive appearance, all original body panels, no accidents, very nice even lines as should be, nice tight fitting doors, solid. Killer look.
This car is partially taken apart, buteverything comes with the car: the 283 blockand parts, water pump, fuel pump, distributer, intake manifold, carb, headers, the transmission & shifter, the bumpers and grill, radiator, shrouds, brackets, braces, etc. (see photos).
Original hard top only, one of about 5,000 to come with a hard top.The convertible coverneeds to be replaced, the frame of the top is fine. The chrome is in great shape.
This car has been stored indoors, covered since 1976, and is a two or three owner car. The previous owner bought this for his first car, he is now 64.The title was reassigned from his father to him, the title is dated June1975.
This car was originally a fuel injected 283 that was changed to a nom 283 non fuel injectedengine. It has the original Borg Warner T- 10 4 speed transmission,I think the shifter has been changed.
The intention was to do a frame off restoration, so the bumpers were removed, the engine was removed and taken apart, the transmission was removed, the radiator & grillwere removed. The Original Wonder Barradio was removed, but it comes with the car.
I was told everything worked when the car was last driven. Everything that was removed is included with this car (see photos). The photos are of the car as found.
Parts of the car will need reassemblyto drive:engine, trans, bumpers, grill... or you may chooseto continue with a frame off restoration.
The paint looks very good, a beautiful roman red with white coves. The body needs no visible work, except possibly the cut-out where the rearbumpergoes through.
The interior- seats were recovered years agowith a tuftedplush red crushed velvet mixed with the white trim &actually lookselegant. They are in very good condition. The carpet has been removed. All gauges are present and functioned when last driven. All glass is good.
The frame is very solid and has only seen 15 years of being driven.
I recommend seeing the car for yourself and inspecting it for any concerns you have.
This car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time, unless the reserve has been met.
