The MSRP on a 1963 Monza Turbocharged Spyder (convertible) for the base car

was $2798.00 This included the 3/speed manual transmission.

Add the 4/speed manual transmission, AM radio, tinted glass and WSW tires, and you

had a Corvair that sold for over $3000 in 1963....almost the price of a base Chevy Impala Convertible.

This ultra- actual low mileage, mint-condition, fully-restored1963 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Spyder is the best we have ever seen.

The restoration of this car began in 2010....and7 years later, every detail of this car has been treated to a full restoration.

The restoration is fully documented in color photos which include a rebuilt engine, new interior, triple plated chrome and a show

quality professional paint job.

We believe it is one of the lowest "actual mileage" and most beautiful and correct Monza Spyder's left in the world.

Launched by Chevrolet in 1960 as a radically different American car, the Corvair was among the most successful automobiles

of this type up to that time. The Corvair was made in body styles ranging from sedans, coupes, vans, pickups, and the convertible Monza,

which itself pioneered the “pony car” market.

Beyond its styling, the Corvair also stood out with engineering significantly different from other American offerings.

Most notable was its application of an aluminum air-cooled horizontally opposed six cylinder, rear-engine.

It’s ironic that Ralph Nader in his book “Unsafe at Any Speed,” assailed the Corvair alone and not the VW or Porsche featuring

the identical arrangement.

The Corvair Monza Spyder is widely regarded as the best-looking and most desirable of all Corvair models.

This 1963 model has been treated to a full restoration to as new condition and is likely among the finest examples in existence.

It features all of the Monza Spyder attributes – including the multi-gauge instrument cluster with tachometer, cylinder head

temperature gauge and intake manifold pressure gauge in addition to the 150-hp turbocharged high performance engine.

We recently drove this car almost 50 miles at Turnpike speeds of 70-75mph and it ran perfect....handled great....and garnered 100's

of "Thumbs Up" during our top down drive.

Speaking of tops...the gorgeous white convertible top has never been exposed to sunlight or rain.....it is still brand new.

If you want the best restored and lowest mileage Monza Turbo Spyder...this is the one you have been looking for.
